Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Keith Kazmark the Village has hired a new Parking Enforcement Officer, Gavin Im. In July of 2023 the Village hired two parking enforcement offices.
The parking officers allow Ridgewood’s police officers to focus on other more pressing needs in the community and are compensated at far lower hourly rates.

Gotta keep that revenue stream alive and kicking!
Godspeed, Gavin.
Another step taken to make the “village” more welcoming to all shoppers, who, as we know, have no other shopping choices in nearby parking friendly towns.
It’s all about generating revenue.
More of waste of money. Transport this guy into the Dpw. We need workers cleaning out. Storm drains and dishes. Not giving out parking tickets. Here we go again another bad move. It’s amazing how certain department swearing employees. And others you just lower then lobster shit.

N0 way after salary, benefits , and other costs, can this be a self-supporting dept!
I understand
Exactly this has nothing to do with the employee, I feel bad for the crew that works in the parking Authority. This is about upper management investing in the department that is sinking, they will never ever recoup the money from the parking garage.
Why don’t the mayor council and finance department inform all of us what was the revenue in the park authority in 2023, minds would love to know. And what is the cost to run the Authority?
I always knew my fellow citizens would never want to pay for the garage they begged for.
Some of us never wanted the garage. I never had issues parking in town before the garage. A lot of us predicted that this would be a large waste of money.
The village is so far gone. The morale in the workforce is shot as shit. So embarrassing. Happy new year.
