VILLAGE OF RIDGEWOOD BUILDING PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP MONDAY—THURSDAY FROM 9 AM -12 NOON AND FROM 2 PM TO 3:30 P.M

Ridgewood NJ, The Governor’s Executive Order also will allow non-essential construction to resume, effective May 18, 2020.  The following will be the procedure for obtaining Building Department permits, since Village Hall is still closed to the public.  BUILDING PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP MONDAY—THURSDAY FROM 9 AM -12 NOON AND FROM 2 PM TO 3:30 P.M.

1. Building Department’s Technical Assistant notifies owner/agent/contractor that permit is ready for issuance.

2. Owner/agent/contractor mails or delivers the permit fee to Village Hall by placing the check in the yellow mailbox, outside of the lobby doors of Village Hall.

3. Technical Assistant receives permit fee.

4. Technical Assistant notifies owner/agent/contractor that permit is available for curbside pick-up and to call in advance for pick-up.

5. Owner/agent/contractor notifies Building Department of their arrival at Village Hall by calling 201-670-5500 ext. 506.

6. Technical Assistant places the permit package on the chess table in the courtyard, between the Village Hall and the Library.

7. Owner/agent/contractor picks up permit package from the chess table in the courtyard.

8. Owner/agent/contractor and Building Department staff must practice social distancing and proper PPE (masks) is required for picking up permit package.
