Ridgewood NJ,the tradition continues , this year a 71-year-old Norway spruce will soon be on display at the train station thanks to Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 Commander Lou Francis and his wife, Yvonne.
The couple, who has two sons in the military and a daughter who is a teacher, donated the tree in honor of Blue Star Families. (Blue Star Families refers to the immediate family members of active-duty service members in the U.S. military.)
Bring the whole family to downtown Ridgewood on Friday, December 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm! (Tree lighting at 6:30 pm.) The annual Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event will feature a host of family-friendly activities including Touch-a-Truck, a trackless train, Santa in his golf cart, live music, dancers in shop windows, and s’mores and firepits in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square.
