Ridgewood NJ, it seems one of the Village of Ridgewood Council members has embraced delusional thinking.

Because Evan is a rubber stamp. So much so, he votes on things that he isn’t even prepared and educated about. For example, artificial turf (he voted on turf at Schedler because his kids like to play on turf and he isn’t concerned about the health implications. Also, he vote on the acquisition of the adjacent property next to Schedler without having read the actual documentation, then at the end of the meeting, asked question related to information that was on those documents. He should have recused himself but his ego is too huge. Paul supported the campaigns to get Siobahn and Evan in so he could round out his majority block who ALWAYS vote together.

The pedestrian plaza and the $60,000 garbage cans are both abject failures. The garbage cans are too small and routinely overflow, and attendance this year at the pedestrian plaza has been dismal.

A 7% tax hike (in perpetuity) got Ridgewood residents fancy garbage cans, flowers and online presence. This woman and Council majority don’t know a thing about public administration.

They are fools. Invited to her house for campaign rally made them feel part of the “it” crowd which led to the tiffany style lawn signs all over town. Would love to see if those same voters would put those signs up today.
And of course, the Bee man Frank Mortimer liked her post. How laughable. I hear that he may run for Council. That would be perfect. He could then be another rubber stamp just like the current majority block. He and RH are the only 2 people who ever get up to praise the council, you ever notice that? Are they getting something in return, and if so, what?
This needs to be documented and a timeline created. This would make a great Netflix story. Peter Primavera hiding in the closet and Paul letting him out to secretly meet with the Village Engineer and Village Manager, before Paul was Mayor, using his personal email account and all along trying to overturn the historical significance of the Schedler property. Siobahn running around to various locations to tout the importance of trees and water as vital sources necessary to the well being of Village residents, and how important shade trees are to beautify Ridgewood, all the while condoning the clear cutting of almost 8 acres of trees to build a giant ball field with artificial turf, maybe so she and her husband can start a soccer team in addition to all of the special interest sports organizations in Ridgewood who cry over not have a shiny new field, when there are many they don’t currently use. The story goes on and on and like someone else said, you just can’t make this stuff up. Life imitating art.
It seems she believes that Feed the Frontlines was located at Habernickel park and that Healthbarn is a non profit?!?! Smoke and mirrors people. It is a private business that pays minimal rent to use the entire park making it very uninviting to others

Siobahn’s Facebook post was something a student would post preening with pride with all of the check marks! Maybe her kids helped her put it together. It just shows the mental aptitude of this VC member. Siobahn is checked out of reality and continues to speak out of both sides of her mouth. How can you be a staunch advocate for trees and then advocate to cut down acres of them down, how can you be an advocate for clean water, then put artificial turf near private wells. It makes absolutely no sense. I am glad people posted some facts so that we can better understand what is really going on here. Also good to know that over 300 residents are rising up and objecting to the current agenda voted on by this Council with our tax dollars. As for the others, everyone knows that Evan is checked out (maybe he is too busy with his day job and is just phoning it in), Pam is linear in her thinking and will go along with most of Paul’s decisions and if it weren’t for Lorraine, who is the only one with any integrity, it is unfortunate that this Village is at the mercy of these morons. Who knows what this new guy Keith is all about. He just started and said he looks forward to meeting with residents to understand their concerns, we will see if this is sincere or just a BS sound bite. Apparently he is a cronie of Paul’s so I am not expecting much. As for the Facebook post, the only consolation is that at least the comments on the post helped to shed some light on some of the true facts instead of all of the misinformation that was laid out.

Hilarious that this is supposed to be a park and not a mega sports complex but yet there is no park. This is just disgraceful and fundamentally wrong on so many levels. The four in the majority block at total losers and are wasting tax dollars that could be spent on real health and safety issues but they only care about the sports organizations and Siobahn’s husband is right up there with some kind of Soccer interests. I think he ran for some kind of role with national soccer but that isn’t our problem. Our problem is going to be getting these losers off of the council. Siobahn is dangerous and is really clueless. Among her distinguished list of accomplishments, she forgot to mention that she personally furnished Peter Primavera the historical consultant with all kinds of information on the shedller property and drove him around town and gave him a personal tour. Wow thanks Siobhan I can’t tell you what that kind of hospitality means to a consultant that we will probably be paying big bucks to look for wiggle room in moving the historic house so that you can get the sports field you promised to the sports organizations, while cutting down all of those trees in the process. I’ll bet your really proud of all you’ve done!

The back peddling after the fact was simply hilarious but she did drive him around all of Ridgewood and drop him at the train station, all the while, providing him with her treasure trove of knowledge regarding Ridgewood’s rich history, in addition to Schedler and the infamous sword. Apparently she is not only an informant, but a local history buff too. Go Siobahn!

The weather this summer is horrendous, which is a huge contributor to the use of the pedestrian plaza. To call it a failure in a vacuum is unfair. Just stating how I see things, or my facts. who is the bear, Siobahn? Not afraid of her one bit, but people are concerned that she has no common sense or judgement where people’s lives are concerned RE; Schedler. Safety, health and the environment to name a few. The main reason it is a sh*t show is because of Siobahn and the majority block and Mayor. It would have been a nice park, playground, walking paths, etc, but Siobahn fought for the big field because Ridgewood has field envy. Plain and simple fact, ma’am. Defending her is ridiculous.

Building the field is a vanity project for the Mayor and the Majority block (Siobahn, Pam and Evan). Per the dictionary definition, a vanity project is a creative work that is ostensibly a showcase for someone’s talents based on the fullfillment of an emotional need, but fails miserably to achieve their goal. Pretty much sums it up and once Primavera gets done with his “assignment” we will be broke and broken.
