Governor Murphy announced the first steps that New Jersey is taking to re-open sectors of our economy. These steps include easing restrictions on non-essential construction, reopening non-essential retail establishments for curbside pick-up, and allowing gatherings of vehicles.
Easing restrictions on non-essential construction, subject to social distancing and mitigation protocols, will take effect on 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18 and includes all types of construction previously shut down via Executive Order 122.
Curbside pick-up is permitted starting at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18 for all non-essential retail establishments previously closed via Executive Order 107 and is available via both vehicle and on foot.
Vehicle gatherings are permitted effective immediately, subject to certain social distancing requirements. This includes drive-in or drive-through events such as movie theaters, church services, and farms.
Please continue to do your part in working together to contain and prevent the spread of the virus by adhering to proper social distancing practices, washing hands frequently for at least 20 seconds, and staying home especially if you feel sick. Be well, stay safe, and encourage others to do the same.
