Ridgewood Nj, the Village’s Department of Public Works, Traffic and Signal Division, under the leadership of Rich Tarleton, was honored to construct the base for the Gold Star Families Monument and assist with the installation.
Gold Star Families are families who have lost an immediate family member who died while serving in the U.S. armed forces, as signified by a gold star on their service flag.
The monument will be dedicated on Gold Star Families Day, THIS SUNDAY, September 29th at 4:30 pm in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square. A ceremony and lighting of luminaries will follow at 7:00 pm.
Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 invites members of the community to both events.
