What’s the responsibility though?
Highly recommend working at Graydon Pool or at the day camp for teens 16-18 years old. My kids both did it and it was a good work experience. Since it is seasonal work, they don’t pay the NJ minimum wage, but it is very good pay for that age group. Tons of comraderie with other camp counselors, they normally assign 2 counselors for each age group. For students who may want to be teachers someday or for those who enjoy being around children, camp counselor is a good summer job. Hours are 8:30-1:30, I believe, so the day is not overly long. My kids picked up extra hours as babysitters for some of the kids assigned to their group. Really teaches the teens responsibility.Other jobs are badge checkers at the pool or working at the snack bar.
