Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood announces changes to Village parking regulations effective May 1st . In an email the Village Manager Heather A. Mailander explained the changes:
RESIDENTIAL PARKING AND OVERNIGHT RESIDENTIAL PARKING
Effective May 1, 2021, all residential parking regulations will be enforced. This also includes the prohibition of overnight parking on the street, throughout the Village, from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
24-HOUR PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE IN TRAIN STATION LOT AND COTTAGE PLACE LOT
In addition, effective May 1, 2021, the Village of Ridgewood is offering to Ridgewood residents, 30 spaces at the train station and 30 spaces at the Cottage Place lot for 24-hour parking, seven days per week. The price for this parking is $200 for 3 months. The Village cannot guarantee parking will be available during hours that usually require payment, but most likely spaces will be available. This will be from May 1, 2021 through July 31, 2021. The Village will determine whether or not to renew this parking program for another 3 months, sometime in July.
OVERNIGHT PARKING IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
Overnight parking in the Central Business District, which is usually limited to residents of the Central Business District, will be open to all Ridgewood residents through December 31, 2021. The areas for overnight parking include: the Hudson Street Garage, 2nd floor only, the Prospect Street lot, the Cottage Place lot, and the parking area at Wilsey Square. The hours for overnight parking are from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The price is $75 for 3 months or $150 for 6 months.
RIDGEWOOD PARKING PERMITS FOR COMMUTERS AVAILABLE TO NON-RESIDENTS
If you have friends or family members who live outside of Ridgewood and wish to commute from the Ridgewood train station or bus station, please let them know that Ridgewood Parking Permits for commuters will be available to non-residents, with a maximum of 50 permits to be sold. The price is the same as residents, $1,325 (annual price) for premium (2nd and 3rd Floors of Hudson Street Garage, Train Station lot, Cottage Place lot or Park and Ride lot) or $1,000 (annual price) for non-premium (4th Floor of Hudson Street Garage, Cottage Place lot or Park and Ride lot). The price for these parking permits will be pro-rated, depending on the timing of the purchase of the permits. The last day these permits will be sold is December 1, 2021.
