Ridgewood NJ, The family that for many years rented the Village of Ridgewood owned single family home at 1057 Hillcrest Road chose not to renew their lease, leaving the home vacant and available for rent.
Thus far, Village officials have not found any family willing to pay $3,700 or more per month to live in the 5 bedroom, 2 bath, 3666 square foot residence.
In an attempt to keep rental revenue flowing in, the Village is now making the home available for rent to any commercial enterprise engaged in providing recreational and/or educational programs open to the public.

Tear the house down and expand the park. There’s plenty of room for a 90 foot baseball field once the house is gone.
Better yet, tear down all the houses in Ridgewood and use the vacant lots for 9000-foot ballfields and 10-story apartment houses. Isn’t that what the mayor wants?
Perhaps the RBSA would be interested in donating $100k to have the house demolished and the park completely reconfigured in order to accommodate a 90 foot field.
Great place for a group home.
Low income housing…
Parking garage??
Full Day Kindergarten school?
A frozen yogurt shop with a nail salon in the back and a bank drive-thru.
I like the idea of building the full size baseball field.
