Waldwick NJ, Waldwick Councilwoman Kathleen Cericola summed up yesterday’s beautiful weather with,” another successful 5K by the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce! Kudos to race director, Stan Kowalski, and the entire 5K Committee. It was great to see my friend, owner of Purrfectly Bare Wax Studio, as a sponsor! This year’s race theme highlighted “National Lemonade Day” and partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Stan Kowalski’s 15th year as Race Director and his committee did a superb job organizing the race, complete with opening ceremonies and having the Bergen County Bagpipes escort the runners to the starting line. The race is also a major fundraiser for the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce, where over $25K is donated to local charities.
Waldwick police officers were stationed around the course to assist the general public. The run helps support The Christopher Goodell Scholarship Fund, The Staff Sgt. Joseph D’Augustine Memorial Fund, The Sean Fisher Foundation, The Waldwick High School Scholarship Fund, and The Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
