Ridgewood NJ, after an extensive yearlong search, Bohler, a land development consultant and site design firm, has inaugurated a new office in North Jersey, specifically in the historic Ridgewood Library building.

The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Pease Building on September 13. This strategic location, adjacent to the town’s train station and within walking distance of retail and dining options, and historic nature mirrors Bohler’s commitment to providing an exceptional experience for both clients and employees. Ben Crowder, who has been with Bohler since 2011, heads the office as branch manager.

The Pease Building, once a library from 1923 until around 1998, even serving as a temporary base for the Ridgewood Police Department during Hurricane Floyd in 1999, has been meticulously preserved. Crowder emphasized that retaining the building’s historic features, such as the woodwork and Italian Renaissance design, was a top priority during renovations, which included furniture fit-out, painting, and new flooring. The central lobby of the building remains a designated historic space, and public library tours will continue to be offered by the Village of Ridgewood, maintaining the building’s historical significance.
