Ridgewood NJ, yesterday the Ridgewood blog reported that parents once again spoke out at Monday evening’s Ridgewood Board of Education meeting about the increase in class sizes. Taxpayers better get used to it .While staffing shortage were cited as the primary problem, the reality is with more high density housing being targeted for the Valley Hospital property and the already built high density housing attracting more students to Ridgewood Schools ,taxpayers should prepare themselves to spend more money on classrooms and public education.

This raised a bunch of eyebrows in the Village and it is important to correct what some people have misperceived as to the current plans for the Valley Hospital sight in the Village . To be clear the current administration led by Mayor Susan Knudsen has absolutely ZERO intention of building high density housing on the Valley property , The current plan would be for low raise single family mixed with townhouses .
Elements that support Siobhan Winograd however are looking to push the construction of high density housing and have already eliminated the school budget vote so large increases in school funding can go relatively unnoticed . The avalanche of high density housing will hit Village residents with meteoric raises in property taxes.
High density housing like many of the other forms of poor planning the Village has embraced , like turf fields in flood zones will have long term repercussions for the Village . Making Ridgewood into the next Hackensack began during the reign of terror of the Paul Aronsohn administration aka “the three amigos” . A victory for the Winograd faction would finish the job once and for all.
She will do whatever she’s told. Like a good little minion. Just like Gwen tried to be.
She’s been Paul, Gwen and Ramon’s little project for a while now.
Just ask her what they want and see how fast she does it.
Always trying to fit in.
If people paid attention they’d know that Knudsen is the reason there isn’t going to be high density at valley.
Frankly people have no idea what they’re losing if they lose her. And I for one think it would be time to jump ship if she goes.
I can’t even imagine why she’s want to stay and continue to take the abuse FOR FREE.
This whole conversation about the Valley property is silly. They aren’t abandoning it.
Please tell all your village friends and neighbors how important it will be in November to vote for Knudsen and Van Goor. The alternative would be likely to be a frightening repeat of the Three Amigos era.
The only reason I see Knudsen running again is because she is still hopeful that the village can be run correctly. She never comes to a meeting unprepared and she believes in the quality of life of the tax payers. NO ONE else really cares about the people. They are pushing their own horrific agenda. Knudsen works with the people. That’s what we need in small town politics. Someone to stand up for the tax payers NOT big business!
Mail – in ballots are in the mail. Make sure you chose wisely folks. If you want Ridgewood = Hackensack, vote Winograd and Weitz. If you want high density housing, vote Winograd and Weitz. If you want complete and utter censorship, vote Winograd and Weitz. A vote for these two is a vote for the three amigos regime, et al.
