Ridgewood NJ, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for southern Connecticut,
northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York.
* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 5 to 12 inches and ice accumulations of up to
one quarter of an inch.
* WHERE…Western Passaic and Western Bergen New Jersey, Northern
Fairfield Connecticut, and much of the Lower Hudson Valley.
* WHEN…Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the
ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions
could impact holiday travel as well as the morning or evening
commute on Monday.
