Ridgewood NJ, the National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THURSDAY TO 4 AM
EST FRIDAY…

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an
inch expected.

* WHERE…Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

* WHEN…From 1 PM Thursday to 4 AM EST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions should impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Since this is the first snowfall of the season, drivers will need to exercise their winter driving skills. Plan on extra travel
time.

Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.

  1. The village snow removal crews certainly worked hard through the nite to get a handle on safer roads .

    It was treacherous up under the stations underpass with
    close to zero traction there and in many uphill grades .

    Thank you . are schools closed or delayed today Friday ?

  2. Sorry as a parent the school s should’ve been let out at half day .The state should’ve said we are Going to have a state of emergency for old school systems to be let out at half day. That would help tremendously.
