Ridgewood NJ, the National Weather Service is predicting light snow will overspread the area early Monday morning. The morning commute may be impacted. The greatest threat for snowfall is across eastern Long Island.
Snow Accumulation – A trace to an inch across NYC, the northern portions of NJ, western Long Island, Lower Hudson Valley and interior Southern CT. Elsewhere east of the NYC metro, 1-2” is expected. Timing – Early Monday morning from west to east. Light snow should taper off by Monday afternoon. Impacts – This may result in hazardous travel for the morning commute as the snow begins to fall early on Monday morning. FORECAST UNCERTAINTY . A track further to the north of the system would bring more snow to the area. Conversely, a track further south would bring less snowfall. NWS ALERTS . Hazardous Weather Outlook. A Winter Weather Advisory may be needed across eastern portions of Long Island should forecast snowfall amounts increase.
