Mahwah NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that JACQUELINE M. RILEY (DOB: 1/03/1990; married; unemployed) of 22 Barretta Court, Roseland, NJ was charged with theft, theft by deception and fencing. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On Friday, December 3, 2021, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received a complaint against JACQUELINE RILEY that RILEY was involved in the theft of medical equipment from her previous employer, a Bergen County based medical equipment company, and was selling the items to medical reseller businesses.
The investigation revealed that JACQUELINE RILEY did steal approximately 1 million dollars’ worth of medical equipment from her former employer , Stryker . She then sold the medical equipment to medical reseller businesses and used the proceeds for her own benefit. RILEY also defrauded several medical reseller businesses of their funds by creating or reinforcing a false impression of an arranged sale of medical equipment. After receiving partial payments from the buyers, RILEY never sent the agreed upon medical equipment to the buyers but kept the payments.
On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, a search warrant was executed at JACQUELINE RILEY’s residence, and RILEY was arrested without incident. RILEY was processed at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for second-degree theft, N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3(a); second-degree theft by deception, N.J.S.A. 2C:20-4(a); and second-degree fencing, N.J.S.A. 2C:20-7.1. RILEY was transported to the Bergen County Jail pending a Central Judicial Processing Court hearing.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Roseland Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
