Ridgewood NJ, a homeowner living in the 100 block of Union Street, Ridgewood, who stepped outside to put a garbage can on the curb late Wednesday night, 12/01, discovered a dead body in a large leaf pile in front of his home. Several Ridgewood Police units responded immediately along with Ridgewood’s Emergency Services to the homeowner’s 911 telephone call and confirmed the gruesome finding. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital formally pronounced the individual dead on location. Ridgewood Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke, who was at the scene, said that the deceased was “known to the police department,” and that no foul play was suspected. Members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification took photographs and inspected items found with the individual. Ridgewood Emergency Services personnel assisted with street closures and on-scene portable lighting.

Known to the police department…troubled individual?
Fortunately the stiff was discovered before our new leaf vacuum truck got damaged
So sad
I’m hoping it’s not who I think it is.
*leaf vacuum: I bet you’re congratulating yourself for how clever you think you are. Disgusting.
This person should be treated with respect. I would like to think that our community would pitch in to make sure she is buried in a dignified manner. I am not sure how but it is the proper thing to do.
Thank God the leaf pile was small can you imagine if it was a big pile of leaves.
This person was known to McMurphy’s

Remember boys and girls don’t play in leaf piles on the street you could get run over by a car.

I wonder could it be Michelle.

It was not Michelle.

I hope it’s not, but I suspect it’s the lady with the extravagant outfits. If the individual was known to the police it’s likely someone who’s already been brought to their attention by Ridgewood citizens. Also for them to immediately write it off as no foul play, the individual themselves had to be troubled.
Everyone thought it was the woman who walks around in the crazy outfits. (It’s not!) And everyone has been sad thinking that. Even the young kids around town.
She’s nice to them- calls them nice names and says nice things. Tells them they’re going to go far in life.
And you know what?
Wouldn’t it be nice if she knew how bummed everyone was at the thought that she was gone. Wouldn’t it be nice is she knew she was a fan favorite while she’s still alive.
More info to come.
The lady with the extravagant out fits is she an Asian lady and former Midland Park resident?
