Ridgewood NJ, according to multiple sources Woodland Park Mayor Keith Kazmark will resign next month to become the new village manager of Ridgewood. Kazmark previously served as Elmwood Park clerk and administrator and as the administrator in Parsippany. In addition to his current mayoral duties, Kazmark serves as the administrator in Woodland Park.
The Borough of Woodland Park was chartered by the State of New Jersey to function under a variation of the Faulkner Act, (similar to the Village of Ridgewood ) Small Municipality Plan of the Optional Municipal Charter Law form of government.
Keith Kazmark was first sworn-In as Mayor on January 1, 2012 and is currently serving 4th term. 1/10/2023 .In 2017 and 2018, Kazmark explored a bid for the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district but wound up becoming a key supporter of Mikie Sherrill (D-Montclair), who flipped the district.
Kazmark will remain Woodland Park’s Democratic municipal chairman.

Why would anybody take that job under 200,000, we would love to see the names who put in applications for the village managers job.
So Mayor of Woodland Park, former Clerk of Elmwood Park and now Ridgewood. Plus if he is a cousin of someone who works on the Zoning Board, isn’t that a conflict of interest. I guess time will tell if he is a nepotism plant or if he really wanted this job. He needs to impartially do his job and not hop to the best of the majority block. Being a political guy, especially a former mayor to now manager, something seems odd about this move.
