Fair Lawn NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JACK T. ANDERSON (DOB: 10/27/1994; single; youth program director) of 14-26 Elmary Place, Fair Lawn, NJ, on charges of Production Of Child Pornography, Luring, Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, and Providing Obscenity To A Minor. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels.
On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, the Fair Lawn Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office regarding an allegation that juveniles, under the age of 16, were communicating with JACK T. ANDERSON on several social media platforms, and those conversations included sexually explicit dialogue. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims and Cyber Crimes Units revealed that during such online conversations, ANDERSON obtained nude images from a juvenile and also sent nude images to the child. In addition, ANDERSON attempted to meet with juveniles on several occasions in and around Fair Lawn. ANDERSON met with one of the children on at least three occasions.
As a result of the investigation, JACK T. ANDERSON was arrested on Thursday, October 1, 2020 in Paramus, NJ, and charged with one count of Production Of Child Pornography, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)4, a 2nd degree crime; one count of Luring, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:13-6a, a 2nd degree crime; one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:34-3(b)1, a 3rd degree crime; and one count2 of 2of Providing Obscenity To A Minor, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:34-3b(1), a 3rd degree crime. ANDERSON was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
This investigation, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims and Cyber Crimes Units, is continuing. Any parent or guardian who determines that their child received inappropriate communications from the online screen names “wrestler94” or “jtanderson94” should contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Tip Line at (201) 226-5532.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would also like to thank the Fair Lawn Police Department for its assistance in this investigation, as well as the Lyndhurst Police Department, which participates in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
