  1. will this levy also pay for the long-term pension and healthcare liabilities the BoE takes on with each new full-time position created by full day kindergarten? Who bears the cost of these employees in retirement?

  2. Just wait if Jeff Voigt and his band of idiot supporters get the garage they want (which Jeff petitioned against) then your taxes will go through to the moon.

  3. did everyone get the same amount as a supplement to their bill. I think mine was 64.00 for each quarter.

  4. Cheapest Day Care in Bergen County…

  5. 7.23..Boomers would know that Soupy Sales always said. “.SOCK IT TO ME…!!!” ..kids your parents haven’t told you that the show Laugh IN was an early form of boomer revolution from THE MAN…LOLV FM ghost of Milton Supman. Not to be confused with the Soup Nazi..

  6. 241, cheap for the ones in school not for the taxpayer. Back when my kids were in after care, cost was 600-750 month for before/after care. This is a bonus for the young families, a nice kick for the union and a snub to everyone else. Just another way for the government to start programming our kids.

  7. 8:59, no, the amount is based on the rest of your property tax. Mine is less than yours and a friend’s is more.

  8. Newsflash to you newbie temporary residents: this kind of tax increase just causes the empty nesters and homeowners with no kids in the schools to think twice about staying here and subsidizing your day care, With very few exceptions, every time one of us sells our home, it is to a family with children in the schools. If you “accelerate” the historic rate, YOU will suffer massive tax increases if enrollment increases. Be careful what you wish for. You won this battle but ultimately you will lose the chance war and have either increased class sizes or a much larger tax bill.
