Rutherford NJ, Rutherford’s Grace Episcopal Church is pleased to announce its third annual outreach, “Grace’s Closet” to area students who may want to attend prom this season, but who may be unable to afford outfits and accessories. Tuxedos and suits have been added this year. This event is open to all, regardless of town or county of residence. Last year’s event was a significant success affecting 600+ local teenagers by providing them with elegant prom attire and accessories, and having a transformative effect on their confidence and overall experience.
Event dates: Saturday, March 2 and Saturday, March 9, Time: 9am to 5pm
Location: Grace Episcopal Church, 128 W. Passaic Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 07070
Grace’s Closet will give away dresses, shoes and accessories, tuxedos and suits, for 2024 junior and senior proms. All clothes and accessories have been donated, and are available at no cost to participants. Dressing rooms are available.
Donations are still being accepted. Items being accepted are: gently used prom dresses, formal dresses, tuxedos and suits, men’s and women’s shoes for formal events, shirts for tuxedos or suits, men’s ties or bow ties, jewelry, evening wear purses, shawls or coverups.
