Rutherford NJ, Rutherford’s Grace Episcopal Church is pleased to announce its fourth annual outreach, “Grace’s Closet” to area students who may want to attend prom this season, but who may be unable to afford their outfits. This event is open to all, regardless of town or county of residence. Last year’s event was a significant success affecting 600+ local teenagers by providing them with elegant prom attire and accessories and having a transformative effect on their confidence and overall experience.
Event dates Saturday, March 22nd 9am to 5pm
Location: The Turnverein, 500 Broad Street, Carlstadt, NJ 07072
Grace’s Closet will give away dresses, shoes and accessories, tuxedos and suits, for 2025 junior and senior proms. All clothes and accessories have been donated and are available at no cost to participants. Dressing rooms are available.
Donations are still being accepted. Items being accepted are: gently used prom dresses, preferably dry cleaned, formal dresses, tuxedos and suits, men’s and women’s shoes for formal events, dress shirts for tuxedos or suits, men’s ties or bow ties, jewelry, evening wear purses and jewelry.
