Ridgewood NJ, Mexican food lovers in Bergen County have something to celebrate—Tacoria, the popular Mexican street kitchen chain, is opening a new location in Ridgewood!
A Growing Presence in Bergen County
Founded by Rutgers graduates with a passion for Mexican cuisine, Tacoria has been steadily expanding, with existing locations in Edgewater and Paramus. Now, the Jersey-favorite taco spot is making its way to Ridgewood, continuing its mission to serve fresh, flavorful, and made-from-scratch dishes.
What’s on the Menu?
Tacoria prides itself on preparing food fresh daily, without the use of freezers. Their menu includes:
🌮 Tacos
🥗 Salads
🌯 Burritos
🧀 Quesadillas
🍟 Nachos
Customers can choose from hearty proteins like chicken, chorizo, and carne asada, as well as vegan-friendly options such as:
- Rajas (roasted corn & poblano peppers)
- Fried avocado
- Brussels sprouts
One of Jersey’s Best Tacos
Tacoria’s Golden Avocado Taco was recently ranked #28 on NJ.com’s list of the 33 Best Tacos in New Jersey (2024). It was praised for its crispy exterior that gives way to a creamy interior—and the reviewers highly recommend adding guacamole, because, as they put it, “there’s no such thing as too much avocado.”
When Will Tacoria Ridgewood Open?
While there’s no official opening date yet, Tacoria’s new Ridgewood location is eagerly anticipated by local foodies. Until then, you can enjoy their tacos, burritos, and more at their Paramus location at 315 Route 17 South.
Parking? Overall, poor choice of location. Very hefty rent for a restaurant. Seems odd, but best wishes.
Parking? Literally everywhere.
Parking garage 2 blocks away.
There will very soon be such a thing as too many avocados when they cost $50 apiece thanks to the tariffs. Watch that guac crossed off the menu.
