  1. Let’s add a big garage and 900+ housing units to the downtown area.
That should reduce motor vehicle/pedestrian accidents.

  2. The new residents will have no cars and no children. They will remain inside their apartments for their entire lives and die there.

  3. This looks like the drycleaners plaza Exit entry closest to Franklin side of north maple where cars queu up for the light. That exit is quite dangerous due to sight distance is limited due to waiting traffic and to turning traffic and also thru traffic heading on north maple towards the library.kid on bike..good luck to him and his recovery,.

  4. 11:13 is so right.

  5. 50 cars an hour in and out of any new trainside multi family apartment retail complex ..just what we need ,aside the train station underpass .pedestrians are without question at risk esp during dark winter and rainy nights..most of us drive every day under that overpass..it’s not safe ESP.for pedestrians and the elderly,

  6. Well if they paint the sidewalk Roberta Green and paint on some “sharrows” then the kids can safely ride their bikes in traffic.

  7. While riding a bicycle on a sidewalk is not prohibited by New Jersey statutes, some municipalities have passed ordinances prohibiting bicycle traffic on certain sidewalks. This prohibition is usually posted. It should be noted, that sidewalks are for pedestrians. Riding on sidewalks can cause conflicts with pedestrians and, like wrong way riding, can lead to crashes since it places bicyclists in situations where others do not expect them. Except for very young cyclists under parental supervision, sidewalks are not for bicycling.

  8. @7:43…why focus on so far west? There will be nice new condos right there on maple and ridgewood ave (old sealfons building)….

  9. Oh my god, this is really a sad story. Pay attention to safety whether you are cycling or driving.
