the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, Garden State Equality (GSE), New Jersey’s largest LGBT advocacy and education organization, today announced its endorsements for the May non-partisan municipal elections taking place in New Jersey.
The candidates receiving endorsements from GSE are:
Czezre Adams for Newark City Council;
Ras Baraka for Mayor of Newark;
Reed Gusciora for Mayor of Trenton;
Alexandra Harwin for Ridgewood Village Council;
Elvin Montero for Trenton City Council; and
Jason O’Donnell for Mayor of Bayonne.
According to Garden State Equality , “Each of these candidates has a clear and defined history of working with and supporting issues of importance to the LGBT community, according to the organization. Whether it be marriage equality, anti-bullying laws, flying the pride flag, or engaging in proactive discussions on how to best achieve true equality and fairness for the LGBT community, these individuals have shown they are committed to the cause of LGBT rights”
But the questions still arises will Ms. Harwin distance herself from the “white only” exclusionary gay flag that ignores minorities in the LGBT community https://www.newsweek.com/rainbow-flag-pride-month-lgbt-625801 and https://www.cnn.com/2017/06/13/health/new-pride-flag-colors-trnd/index.html
Willett and Harwin have also not distanced themselves from the clearly bigoted and anti Catholic “Hans Lehmann letter ” . Suggesting those who preach are usually guilty of what every they are trying to promote . Silence on this both issues only implies that Willett and Harwin are in full agreement with anti Catholic and minority sentiments.

It’s astonishing that Willett and Harwin would allow their personal association with the six color flag to continue even a day longer. African Americans and other non-white minorities are justified in their demands for a change in mindset and a prompt purging of bias and bigotry.
I would love to see the flag fly from Village Hall.
This is a preview of the “issues” to be prioritized by a Harwin council…. NOT roads or schools or CBD or infrastructure, but social justice, transgender rights, #metoo and #blm.
.
Ridgewood will just become a platform and lightning rod for non-local issues… another tool to be wielded to advance Harwins new-world -order utopian agenda… NOT a council focusing on issues that are relevant to LOCAL Governance.
.
How come there is no White stripe in that flag… seems RACIST to me.
3:31 I’ve noticed that, BTW there is no black or brown in a rainbow either.
She’s using the gay community for their vote. Just like she’s rallied the Jewish community’s. Why why do these people feel so obligated. Her cheese eating face is enough already. What a lying sheister.
Does the “GSE” know that in her zeal for civil rights and equality, Harwin has stooped to calling our incumbent mayor a Nazi supporter in a deeply misguided and deliberately inaccurate townwide mailer?
One tends to think that in Ms. Harwin’s social circle, demonization of those who don’t engage in progressive political vitrue signaling is as natural and common as breathing. It probably doesn’t occur to her that she is behaving badly.
I love the Confederate flag, I don’t give a shit if anyone don’t like it you can kiss my ass.
4:08, the gay and Jewish communities are too smart to buy any of that. We are not eight years old and we know the truth. This behavior will backfire. Maybe that will help to prevent it from happening the next time.
The jewish community is not voting for Harwin. Not at all.
Jewish community?
Gay community?
Black community?
Hillbilly community (big Pauly)
White stripe community?
I’m going to send out a progressive political virtue signal…(that’s sort of like the Bat Signal) calling all the above to a Rumble at Citizens Park and were gonna put an end to this nonsense. Remember, when your a Jet your a Jet from your first cigarette to your last dying day. I think that’s how it goes. Hold on, let me check my copy of the Arrow and see if I got that right.
