Ridgewood NJ, Governor Murphy is signing an Executive Order to further our aggressive efforts to enforce social distancing.
All non-essential construction across New Jersey will CEASE, indefinitely, effective 8:00 PM Friday.

Exceptions include projects at our hospitals and schools, in our transportation and public utility sector, the building of affordable housing, other individual housing sites that can adhere to strict limits on the number of workers on-site, and other limited instances.
We’re also aiming to mitigate overcrowding at essential retail stores – particularly in our grocery stores.

Under this Executive Order, all essential retail must indefinitely limit the number of customers allowed in their stores to NO MORE than 50% of their approved capacity.
Additionally, customers & employees must wear face coverings. Stores must also provide special shopping hours for high-risk individuals, erect physical barriers between customers and cashiers and baggers where practicable, regularly sanitize areas used by their employees, & more.
This Executive Order will also put greater protections in place for workers at our warehouses, and in manufacturing. No one should be working where social distancing isn’t being practiced to its fullest extent.

  1. this town is f&cked

  2. high density housing, the garage wtf ! Ridgewood is a total shothole

  3. Shut it down for two more weeks. And washer hands.

  4. We shot the developers canon stuffed with Developers IOU’s but like Wile E
Coyot -it swung over it ‘ s teeter totter and
established a new planting row in the center of his head …towns screwed
now supplying infrastructure to apartments while the town goes broke …empty stores are a blight and dont generate economic payback to
Village operations . More vacancies to come on local shops ..very sad

  5. GREAT IDLE ANOTHER 15k workers ..look at the Twitter feed /NJDOL Commish/status/1245067554118344704

Things are not going well for the 100,000 plus UI Filers
which is an echo chamber of empty desks at UI CLAIM PROCESSING CENTERS ..

They should have outsourced it to India data centers
    and got it done right
they can’t even find a way to give away a trillion in fed cash ??

  6. There are so many exceptions and caveats (‘if practicable’; ‘if conditions can be adhered to’) to this Order I wonder does it really change anything in practice? Most stores seem to have adopted these practices well before this mandate? I haven’t been to town to see what construction is still going on.

  7. MAGA didn’t pan out so well.

  8. Yeah, TDS is in full effect. Love it.

This lockdown will be so much fun around the first 90 degree weekend. The riots will make the 70’s look like Disneyland.

Don’t worry, Biden will save us all next year, as he is given the oath from the nursing home. Maybe he can be given the oath by RBG. It will be a complete cyborg inauguration. This is the best they got?

  9. Half-built apartments are lovely. Will really enjoy looking at them even longer. Maybe forever if the developers go bust. Quite attractive. Detroit, anybody?

  10. Let me guess the virus is a hoax and it’s all the fault of the three amigos

    1. just the high density housing and all the consequences afterword

  11. I’m sure the apartment construction will continue here in ‘North Montclair’ since these ugly mammoth buildings have some sort of ‘affordable housing’ component, thanks the the left wing NJ Supreme court mt laurel rulings, that have essentially given developers a ‘green light’ to hold any town hostage if they don’t approve their projects.
