Fair Lawn NJ, a driver picking up children from athletic practice at Fair Lawn High School was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday morning, August 31. The incident occurred when the driver, in a silver Acura SUV, collided with a group of bollards in the parking lot that were protecting a fire hydrant.
The driver, who is also a parent, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Fair Lawn EMS to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for treatment. The damaged Acura was later removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.
Fair Lawn Police Department is investigating the accident.
