The Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department filled us in on the brush fires near the NJ Transit Main line tracks . According to fire officials at approximately 11:25 the Glen Rock Fire department was requested to the area of 208 north bound in the area of De Boer drive for reported wires down with a brush fire. Chief 830 arrived on scene and confirmed live wires down with a brush fire.
While operating on the highway chief Jennings observed heavy smoke from the rear of 25 De Boer drive. Engine 833 was directed to the rear lot and confirmed multiple brush fires along the tracks due to the wires down. Engine 831 and engine 833 began to extinguish the fires. Chief Jennings requested 1&1 from Hawthorne as well as GREMS. All companies were back in service by 14:00.
