U.N. Official Reveals Real Reason Behind Warming Scare

al gore climate hoax

Economic Systems: The alarmists keep telling us their concern about global warming is all about man’s stewardship of the environment. But we know that’s not true. A United Nations official has now confirmed this.

At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,” she said.

Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

The only economic model in the last 150 years that has ever worked at all is capitalism. The evidence is prima facie: From a feudal order that lasted a thousand years, produced zero growth and kept workdays long and lifespans short, the countries that have embraced free-market capitalism have enjoyed a system in which output has increased 70-fold, work days have been halved and lifespans doubled.

Out of state voters and non-residents offered ballots in New Hampshire presidential primary

Ridgewood NJ, Four years ago, James O’Keefe released a video which showed how easy it would be for people to vote in New Hampshire using the names of deceased people. As a result of that video, New Hampshire changed its voter ID laws. Project Veritas Action revisited New Hampshire during Tuesday’s presidential primary election and again showed how easy it is to cast fraudulent votes with the new law fully in place. In this new video, multiple election officials and Bernie Sanders presidential campaign staffers offered advice to journalists using hidden cameras about how to circumvent the law.

I’m a gay New Yorker — and I’m coming out as a conservative

gay flag

By Chadwick Moore

February 11, 2017

Annie Wermiel

Chadwick Moore, a 33-year-old journalist who lives in Williamsburg, had been a lifelong liberal. Then, last September, he penned a profile for Out magazine of Milo Yiannopoulos — a controversial alt-right extremist who is an outspoken critic of feminism, Muslims and gay rights (despite being openly gay himself). Although the Out story didn’t take a positive stance — or any stance — on Yiannopoulos, Moore found himself pilloried by fellow Democrats and ostracized by longtime friends.

Here, he tells Michael Kaplan his story — including why the backlash drove him to the right.

When Out magazine assigned me an interview with the Breitbart.com rabble-rouser Milo Yiannopoulos, I knew it would be controversial. In the gay and liberal communities in particular, he is a provocative and loathed figure, and I knew featuring him in such a liberal publication would get negative attention. He has been repeatedly kicked off Twitter for, among other things, reportedly inciting racist, sexist bullying of “Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones. Before interviewing Yiannopoulos, I thought he was a nasty attention-whore, but I wanted to do a neutral piece on him that simply put the facts out there.

After the story posted online in the early hours of October 21, I woke up to more than 100 Twitter notifications on my iPhone. Trolls were calling me a Nazi, death threats rolled in and a joke photo that I posed for in a burka served as “proof” that I am an Islamophobe.

I’m not.

Federal agents conduct sweeping immigration enforcement raids in at least 6 states

ICE Raids

UPDATED: FRIDAY, FEB. 10, 2017, 9:19 P.M.

By Abigail Hauslohner, Lisa Rein, Sandhya Someshekhar Abigail Hauslohner, Lisa Rein and Sandhya SomeshekharWashington Post

U.S. immigration authorities arrested hundreds of undocumented immigrants in at least a half-dozen states this week in a series of raids that marked the first large-scale enforcement of President Donald Trump’s Jan. 26 order to crack down on the estimated 11 million immigrants living here illegally.

The raids, which officials said targeted known criminals, also netted some immigrants who did not have criminal records, an apparent departure from similar enforcement waves during former President Barack Obama’s administration that aimed to just corral and deport those who had committed crimes.

Trump has pledged to deport up to 3 million undocumented immigrants with criminal records. Last month he also made a change to the Obama administration’s policy of prioritizing deportation for convicted criminals, substantially broadening the scope of who the Department of Homeland Security can target, to include those with only minor offenses or those with no convictions at all.

Immigration officials confirmed that agents this week raided homes and workplaces in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, the Los Angeles area, North Carolina and South Carolina, netting hundreds of people. But Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), said they were part of “routine” immigration enforcement actions. ICE dislikes the term “raids,” and prefers to say authorities are conducting “targeted enforcement actions.”

Americans Trust Trump Administration More Than News Media in New Poll

Trump

Only 39 percent call media “truthful” in Emerson College survey, compared to 49 percent for new White House

Brian Flood | February 9, 2017 @ 8:37 AM

at the Trump administration is “truthful,” while only 39 percent feel that way about the news media. Worse, for the so-called “opposition party,” 53 percent of those surveyed described the media as “untruthful.”

The poll, released on Tuesday, also showed that Americans are divided on Trump’s performance so far — 48 percent of registered voters approve of the job that Trump is doing, compared to 47 percent who disapprove.

Majority in Leading EU Nations Support Trump-Style Travel Ban: Poll

illegal-immigrants

by ALASTAIR JAMIESON

A majority of Europeans would support a Trump-style ban on further migration from mainly Muslim countries, according to a poll of more than 10,000 people in 10 countries.

An average of 55 percent of those surveyed for London-based think tank, Chatham House, agreed that immigration from Muslim-majority countries should be halted.

The poll released Tuesday comes after a bruising 18 months that have seen a string of terrorist massacres linked to radical Islam as well as record-setting levels of migration that have created social tensions across the continent.

Majorities in all but two of the 10 countries polled supported a ban, ranging from 71 percent in Poland, to 53 percent in Germany, 47 percent in the United Kingdom and 41 percent in Spain. In no country did the percentage that disagreed surpass 32 percent.

Washington better catch up to this business-minded president, ex-Chrysler chief says

President Donald Trump’s rapid overhaul of rules and regulations is not an unusual pace for business, so the nation’s capital better get used to his modus operandi, ex-Chrysler chief Bob Nardelli said Tuesday.

“Washington better catch up to this business-oriented, business-minded president,” Nardelli told “Squawk Alley.” “We have a lot of gnashing of teeth right now about the rate with which the president is moving. That’s not fast in the business world.”

Nardelli touted the speed at which Trump has set the stage for delivering on key campaign promises, but acknowledged that two major promises — corporate tax reform and repatriation — have not yet been addressed.

Byron York: Justice Department demolishes case against Trump order

James Robart, the U

BYRON YORK  2/5/17 7:31 PM

James Robart, the U.S. district judge in Washington State, offered little explanation for his decision to stop President Trump‘s executive order temporarily suspending non-American entry from seven terror-plagued countries. Robart simply declared his belief that Washington State, which in its lawsuit against Trump argued that the order is both illegal and unconstitutional, would likely win the case when it is tried.

Now the government has answered Robart, and unlike the judge, Justice Department lawyers have produced a point-by-point demolition of Washington State’s claims. Indeed, for all except the most partisan, it is likely impossible to read the Washington State lawsuit, plus Robart’s brief comments and writing on the matter, plus the Justice Department’s response, and not come away with the conclusion that the Trump order is on sound legal and constitutional ground.

Reader says The world’s biggest stable is filled to the rim with horse dung and someone, presumably not you, needs to do something about it

Faith in Government

the Left’s perspective seems warped by cognitive dissonance. Trump’s task is herculean. The world’s biggest stable is filled to the rim with horse dung and someone, presumably not you, needs to do something about it. Emotions are important but at some point they need to be put to the side in favor of effective action. Your mileage may vary, but you might want to cut Trump a little slack and not try to drag him down to your level. Detraction is a sin we should all work to avoid, particularly when it is directed toward political leaders like Trump who are so clearly working in good faith toward the improvement and betterment of our nation.

Just look what Trump accomplished, against all odds? Why? Because people are desperate for some common sense which we can’t get from the today”s politicians. Securing our borders; better vetting for refugees and people from terror grown countries; a focus of jobs; deregulating finance/EPA and repairing our infrastructure are all good, common sense things our country is in desperate need of. Where was the outrage when Obama made policy changes that affect Cubans? Is the left anti-Cuban? The left look like idiots fighting and protesting to make it easier for terrorists and illegals to come to our country. So stupid. Why aren’t the majority Muslim countries taken in all these refugees but only majority Christian countries are, tell me why?

Democrats :The Party of Outrage

booker menendez

Democrats can barely keep up with their problems with Trump, raising some to wonder if their perpetual opposition is undermining a more focused message.

By David Catanese | Senior Politics Writer Feb. 2, 2017, at 5:38 p.m.

In a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer declared that the early theme defining President Donald Trump’s administration was “incompetence leading to chaos.”

“It’s amazing how poorly done so many things have been that have come out of the White House in the first two weeks,” the New York Democrat said.

A few hours later during a CNN town hall, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California said Trump’s selection of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court was bad “if you breathe air, drink water, eat food or take medicine.”

And in the wake of Trump’s abrupt firing of the nation’s acting attorney general, Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, a candidate for Democratic Party chairman, rushed so quickly to vilify the president he left out a word in his merciless statement.

“By all accounts, this is looking like failed presidency,” he said.

Kuwait issues its own Trump-esque visa ban for five Muslim-majority countries

Death-to-America

Published February 1st, 2017 – 09:17 GMT via SyndiGate.info

Kuwait first placed a blanket ban on new visas for Syrians in 2011, but those already in the country were allowed to remain.

Citizens from five Muslim-majority countries will no longer be able to obtain Kuwaiti visas, after reports the Gulf state issued tight entry restrictions that mirrored US President Donald Trump’s Muslim ban.

Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians, Pakistanis and Afghans will not be able to obtain visit, tourism or trade Kuwaiti visas with the news coming one day after the US slapped its own restrictions on seven Muslim-majority countries.

Trump’s no monster… and he’s not mad either: While the liberal elites literally lose their minds the polls show that common-sense people quite like the big bad boy in the White House

Women's March on Washington

TRUMP’S A MONSTER!

There’s the popular global narrative for you after just ten days of Donald Trump’s tenure as President of the United States of America.

Indeed, such is his monstrosity status, there is currently a petition in Britain to have him banned from receiving a state visit as a guest of The Queen that has so far been signed by nearly two million people.

This follows the huge marches around the US and UK in response to Trump’s ill-conceived and poorly executed temporary ‘travel ban’ on immigrants and refugees from seven terror-strewn predominantly Muslim countries.

Protestors, led by incensed celebrities and politicians on both sides of the Atlantic, have been competing to see who can be most abusive about the President.

Many of them, ironically, deploying the very same coarse misogynist rhetoric they cite as one of their main reasons to hate him.

‘Everything makes them cry and scream’: Kellyanne Conway says Democrats are ‘acting like crybabies’ over Trump nominees

President-Elect Donald J

MAXWELL TANI
Feb 2nd 2017 9:55AM

Kellyanne Conway, President Donald Trump’s top counselor, blasted Senate Democrats on Thursday for attempting to slow down the president’s nominees to top federal posts, including his pick for the US Supreme Court.

Conway expressed frustration on “Fox & Friends” with Democratic opposition to Trump’s supreme court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch, dubbing Senate Democrats “a bunch of crybabies who say that they’re going to oppose Supreme Court nominees before they even know his name.”

“This obstinance and obstruction is the modern Democratic party,” Conway said.

Progressive Sexism

President-Elect Donald J

by CARRIE LUKAS February 2, 2017 4:00 AM

So much for ‘going high.’ Those who had warned about an uptick in sexism under President Trump may have been on to something.

As the era of Trump dawns, some women already are being singled out for criticism and scorn that is tinged with sexist assumptions and seems intended to force them back into roles society decrees are a must for good women. Yet this isn’t a Republican “war on women,” as some predicted. It is, rather, progressives and left-leaning media elites who are targeting conservative women. Take the recent Saturday Night Live skit ridiculing Kellyanne Conway, the first woman to have led a successful Presidential campaign. (Full disclosure: I’ve met Kellyanne professionally.)
