Westwood NJ, Assemblymembers Holly Schepisi and Bob Auth released the following statement in response to yesterday’s desperate and slanderous attacks by their opponents:

“The silent hypocrisy of John Birkner and Gerry Falotico is an embarrassment to the people they seek to represent. Throughout the course of this campaign, they have willfully and deliberately refused to condemn hate speech, anti-semitism, and criminal conduct perpetrated by members of their party and supporters of their campaign. It’s pathetic and unbecoming of someone seeking to represent District 39 in Trenton.

Choosing the Best Personal Injury Lawyer: What to Keep in Mind

iStock 899023642 e1541451103491

If you have suffered an injury or have come to some harm through no fault of your own, then you’ll probably be looking for a good personal injury lawyer to help you get the compensation that you deserve. There are many things that could happen to cause an injury to your person, from road traffic accidents to accidents at work or whilst engaging in leisure activities. You will normally be entitled to claim against whoever is at fault, or the party responsible for the negligence that led to your injury. However, in order to ensure that you get the maximum amount of compensation you deserve, it’s crucial to have the right personal injury lawyer by your side. Here are some top factors to keep in mind when making your choice.

Type of Injury

The type of injury that you have sustained may well be worth considering when it comes to choosing the right personal injury lawyer for your case. For example, you can find lawyers who specialize in different types of injury claims such as road accidents, workplace injuries, or this New York City personal injury attorney who takes on catastrophic injury and trauma cases.

Previous Experience

Another key factor to keep in mind when making your choice is the previous experience of the attorney that you are considering. Getting certain groups or people to pay you compensation can be a challenging process, so it’s important to make sure that you have a lawyer who is experienced in the fight. The right lawyer will be able to guide you through the process and help you better understand what a personal injury claim entails, whilst helping you get a positive result from even the most challenging of cases. The Seattle accident lawyer are among the most trusted and experienced accident lawyers.

Reputation

It’s important to also consider the reputation of the lawyer that you choose. A reputable lawyer will not only be more respected in the courts when fighting your personal injury case but you can also trust them to do the best job. Maybe law firms will have third-party reviews online at sites such as TrustPilot or Google Reviews, which you can use to your advantage when checking out prospective attorneys to use.

Personality

Along with their professional assets, it’s worth keeping in mind that personality qualities are also an important factor to consider when it comes to choosing a good personal injury lawyer. It’s no secret that people who get along will always work better together, and the same is true for you and your personal injury attorney. As this is a person or group of people that you will be spending a significant amount of time with discussing and planning your case, it’s important to choose a lawyer who you feel comfortable around, particularly if the details of your injury are distressing for you as you will need to discuss these particulars.

If you’ve suffered an injury that wasn’t your fault, keep these factors in mind to find the best personal injury lawyer for you. If you found this article useful, we’d love to hear from you in the comments.

MIKE GHASSALI, AN AMERICAN DREAM STORY POISED TO BECOME A CONGRESSMAN

Montvale NJ, New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District appears to many national political observers to be a Democrat lock at this point, given the massive war chest maintained by two-term incumbent Josh Gottheimer, who presents an image of being a moderate. Not far in the past, however, the district was a long-time Republican stronghold, with the seat being held by a very conservative congressman, Scott Garrett, for 14 years until he lost it in 2016 to Gottheimer.

In 2018, Gottheimer retained his seat, defeating his Republican challenger by getting 56% of the vote. Although the vote differential was somewhat sizable, the gap isn’t such that can’t be filled by a Republican with the right message and background. A fresh face with conservative bonafides and considerable, current political experience is the GOP’s best chance to take back this congressional seat, which covers all of Sussex and Warren counties, as well as a substantial portion of Bergen County and a part of Passaic county.

50 Years After Americans First Walked on the Moon, It’s Time for Another ‘Giant Leap’ for Mankind

apollo 11 crew1

from the White House

“Exactly 50 years ago this month, the world watched in awe as Apollo 11 astronauts launched into space with a wake of fire and nerves of steel, and planted our great American flag on the face of the Moon.”

President Donald J. Trump

On July 20, 1969, man took his first steps on the Moon—a goal that President John F. Kennedy set less than a decade before but never lived to see. The achievement captivated the world, including millions of Americans who watched history unfold before their eyes.

Fifty years later, we honor the bravery of three astronauts who entered the unknown, pioneered a new frontier, and left pride in the hearts of Americans for decades to come.

Hackensack NJ, Former Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino resigned amidst controversy in September, triggering a special election last November to fill the three-year position. Had his resignation become effective days later, on October 5, Gov. Phil Murphy would have appointed an interim sheriff until an election for a full term in November 2019.

Bipartisan legislation, advanced today by the Assembly State and Local Government Committee, requires a vacancy occurring less than 70 days before a general election be filled by voters at the second succeeding general election. Sponsored by Assemblyman Christopher P. DePhillips and Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi, the bill (A4675) aligns the timeline for replacing vacancies in county sheriff, surrogate and clerk offices with other public offices.
