Glen Rock NJ, on Sunday, November 20th ,2016 at 10:00 am the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corp. and the Ridgewood Ambulance and Emergency Services will be conducting a drill at Glen Rock Middle and High School.
There will be a heavy presence of emergency personnel ambulance and emergency vehicles at the High School for approximately two hours .This drill will be coordinated by Captain Murry Yang of the Ridgewood Ambulance Corp under the direction of Chief Tony Lilo Ridgewood Emergency Services , Chief Ed Esposito Glen Rock Ambulance Corp,Chief Dean Ackerman Glen Rock Police and Chief Jacqueline Luthcke of the Ridgewood Police Department .
The Drill will be an evaluation on the readiness of our emergency personnel from radio communications to evacuation procedures and treatment necessities .The information from the drill will be the basis for setting procedures in the future, evaluate any equipment which may be deemed necessary , determine short comings with equipment and assess any further training in which will be necessary in the case of a devastating incident occurs in our jurisdiction.
After President-elect Donald Trump’s victory during Tuesday’s general election, the Republican brand seems strengthened nationwide. The party now has control of the White House, the U.S. Senate and the House. However, that nationwide strength stands in contrast to the GOP’s beleaguered position in New Jersey.
In the Garden State, the Republican brand has been struggling with Governor Chris Christie’s alleged role in the Bridgegate scandal. That connection has impacted the once-popular governor to such a point that his approval rating currently stands at only 19 percent among New Jersey residents. In Bergen County—the state’s most populous—Republicans have been on a steady losing streak over the last few elections. This year, the GOP in Bergen officially lost all representation at the county level and managed to pick up a congressional seat in the previously Republican held district 5. And, while a Republican won the presidential election, a significant portion of NJ Republicans—including 2017 gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli and likely candidate Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno—separated themselves from Trump and were unwilling to publicly endorse him throughout the election.
Ridgewood NJ, Glen Rock FD personnel used the “Jaws of Life” to free the adult male driver of a Jeep from his vehicle after it collided with a 4-door sedan at the intersection of Harristown Road and Elm Avenue in Glen Rock on Tuesday evening, 11/15. The victim was transported by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance to The Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A flatbed tow truck removed the Jeep (minus its driver’s side door) from the scene. Glen Rock PD is investigating the crash.

A strange thing is happening in the world of gas prices.
Discount prices at some gas stations aren’t such a discount anymore and are being separated by less than a dime a gallon from gas prices at some name brand stations.
Naturally, the caveat in finding those prices is smart shopping and access to a state highway with a selection of gas stations. But the numbers are bearing this out, which can be seen by checking the map on GasBuddy.com before getting behind the wheel.
A survey of gas station on Route 22 in Union on Friday yielded a Sunoco and an Exxon priced at $2.19 a gallon, within seven cents a gallon of an unbranded Fuel Stop. Route 28 in Cranford was a little higher, with a Sunoco priced at $2.25 while a generic station named “Gas” was at $2.15, GasBuddy reported.
Paramus NJ, Paramus firefighters battled a multiple alarm fire at Denny Wiggers Landscaping, 387 Paramus Road, Paramus on Monday morning, 11/14. The structure involved was declared uninhabitable due to fire, smoke and water damage. All occupants safely evacuated the building prior to the arrival of fire department personnel. Paramus Road was closed in both directions near the incident scene. Paramus PD and EMS personnel also responded to the scene in force. Fire and rescue personnel from nearby municipalities staffed Paramus FD and Rescue Squad locations during the incident and provided relief at the fire scene.

Paramus NJ, The Paramus Park Mall was the scene on Saturday, November 12, 2016, of a flash mob staged in honor of veterans and Veterans Day by the Orpheus Club Men’s Chorus. The performance began as Orpheus tenor Charles Brown of Hackensack stepped out alone in the atrium beneath the food court, and sang the opening words of “America the Beautiful” to the unsuspecting crowd of shoppers nearby. Quickly, he was joined by other singers until the full chorus had formed. Before long a large crowd of shoppers stood by as the Chorus’ voices swelled with patriotic fervor and filled the atrium with their second song, “God Bless America.”
Many shoppers sang along. More than a few onlookers had tears in their eyes. Some stated that they were thrilled to feel once again uncomplicated patriotism without faction or partisan discord. It was a pure, magical moment with no agenda save to honor those who served. To that end Orpheus accomplished its mission.
The Orpheus Club Men’s Chorus has been a keystone of the cultural life of the region for 106 years. Founded in 1909, it is the oldest cultural institution in all of Bergen County. Now almost 50 voices strong, the Orpheus Club Men’s Chorus is directed by John Palatucci and accompanied by pianist Ron Levy.

PSE&G teams with more than 80 North American utilities to stop scams

Ridgewood NJ, According to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, more than 3 million consumers filed fraud complaints last year. Phone scams are among the most common complaints. To combat these con artists, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), New Jersey’s largest utility, joined forces with more than 80 energy companies across North America to educate people how to spot a scam. The collaborative designated the third Wednesday in November
“Utilities United Against Scams Day.”
How the most common payment scam works:
Someone pretending to be a utility employee calls and threatens shut-off within an hour if they do not receive immediate payment via a prepaid card.
Victims are given a phony phone number to call back after they purchase the cards from a retail store.
When the customer calls back, they may hear voice response prompts that mimic those they would hear when calling a real customer service line. Some of these criminals use caller ID spoofing technology to replicate PSE&G’s number.
A fake representative asks for the numbers on the prepaid card or receipt. Within seconds the money is gone.
Scam red flags:
The caller becomes angry and aggressive, telling the customer his or her account is past due and service will be disconnected if a large payment isn’t made – often within less than an hour.
The thief specifically demands the customer pay with a prepaid card or wire transfer.
“If a caller directs you to go to a local store to purchase a prepaid card to pay your bill, it is likely a scam,” said Greg Dunlap, PSE&G vice president of customer operations. “If you receive a call and are in doubt, hang up and call us at the phone number listed on our website or your PSE&G bill.”
The only way to protect against these scams is for customers to be cautious. Before terminating service, PSE&G alerts customers in a number of ways: messages on their bill, letters and phone calls. While the utility accepts credit cards, prepaid cards and money transfers to pay bills, PSE&G would never demand a specific type of payment and threaten immediate service termination.
“Hiding behind an untraceable phone, scammers know it is doubtful they’ll be caught,” said Dunlap. “By educating people how to spot a scam, our Utilities United collaborative aims to spare many would-be victims and make the thieves’ underhanded jobs a lot harder.”
Report all scam attempts by calling your utility and local police department, and file a complaint with the FTC at www.ftc.gov/complaint.

Garrett’s major sin this election cycle was that he didn’t morph into something he wasn’t in response to recent waves of demands made by people living so-called “alternative” sexual lifestyles and by others, mostly young adults with a weak or misguided spiritual life or no connection at all to a traditionally organized religion, and who see themselves as social justice warriors engaging in the latest, greatest civil rights battle.
In fairness, how does an honest federal or state officeholder who believes in traditional Christian morality withstand such a well funded Alynskyite attack and win re-election? Particularly in northern New Jersey where so many brainwashed progressives are busy buying up almost all of the available housing stock.
Garrett should try to make peace with Trump and those early Trump supporters like Mike Doherty who resisted abandoning him when times became tough during the general election season. With any luck, Garrett, with his great experience, innate intelligence, and unshakably ethical approach to governing, will secure a prominent position in Trump’s administration and help him move forward with the many important policy imperatives they hold in common. As a country we could be looking at at least 16 straight years of sober and responsible Republican control of the executive branch if Trump and Pence play their cards right, keep their noses clean, and put on a clinic on real leadership, each of which can safely be predicted.
Trump won this race his way, rather than kowtowing to the republican establishment like Reagan did in choosing establishment mole George H. W. Bush as his vice-presidential running mate. This will pay big dividends. As long as Trump has reasonable success in obtaining long-needed tax reform and reviving our moribund economy he will be very well set up for re-election four years from now.
Job number one in terms of keeping liberals and progressives frustrated and rudderless for as long as possible should be for non-establishment patriots like Trump to fight hard to prevent them from credibly claiming that they have reoccupied the moral high ground. These phonies are constantly trying to portray themselves as our moral “betters” and their political opponents as the worst possible thing–hypocrites. Weak-kneed, wishy-washy republicans have been letting them get away with this nonsense in the media for decades now. With this huge victory by Trump, they have finally been exposed as morally bankrupt. Nothing chaps their asses worse than this kind of undeniable public humiliation. Normal, red-blooded Americans who were never brainwashed by sociopathic college professors are absolutely loving it.
Hopefully nobody gets killed in the next few days or weeks as the diasappointed SJWs indulge themselves in shameless riots (not protests) in the streets of our major cities and elsewhere. If someone does unfortunately die, Trump will probably take it very personally. No doubt he would call Obama and Clinton and their narrow-minded political operatives out directly and severely for their immoral unwillingness to maintain law and order while they transition out of power.
