Dumont Police Search for Flasher

Dumont NJ, according to the Dumont Police Department on Tuesday at approximately 11:40am an indecent exposure occurred in our CVS parking lot located at 50 West Madison Avenue. Suspect vehicle is described as a newer model White Audi driven by a white male in his mid to late 20’s wearing a beige trench coat.
Suspect played loud music to get the attention of two High School females at which time he exposed himself.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Dumont Police Department at 201-387-5000.

Ridgewood School District monitoring information being released by the CDC and the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) on Coronavirus

Ridgewood NJ, Dr. Fishbein gave an update on the novel coronavirus (COVID-2019). The district is monitoring the information being released by the Centers for Disease Control and the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH). Three letters regarding COVID-2019 have been sent to the school community, as well as two flu season letters. Students are being reminded to wash their hands and avoid touching their eyes and nose. Schools are closely monitoring the hand sanitizer dispensers to ensure that they are filled. Families who have traveled and returned from high impact areas have voluntarily quarantined. The NJDOH does not recommend closure of schools; the decision to close school is made by the superintendent unless a state of emergency is declared. The district has been communicating with Department of Health for the Village of Ridgewood. Parents are reminded to keep children home if they are sick. Dr. Fishbein provided an update on the soil remediation project at Orchard School

Ridgewood NJ,  in the continuing saga of better late than never, Dr. Fishbein provided an update on the soil remediation project. A letter was sent to the community on February 28, 2020. The district received a second-opinion letter from LAN Associates LSRP Gerrit Visscher stating that they were in agreement with the Remedial Action Workplan that was submitted by WSP and approved by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The necessary soil permits have been submitted, and public bidding will begin in March. Dr. Fishbein contacted the New Jersey Department of Health to again request a date for the public meeting. Louisville Naval Museum bails out the USS Ling in the Hackensack river

Hackensack NJ, Louisville Naval Museum bails out the USS Ling in the Hackensack river. According to the Louisville Naval Museum the Louisville Naval Museum Fundraiser effort is in Phase 1 of our capital campaign with the goal to raise $100,000. “Phase 1: Ready the USS Ling” will finance the preparation of the USS Ling for transport to the Louisville area. This includes necessary mechanical, legal and logistical expenses. We will focus on raising $10K from Facebook donations through the months of December and January. This initial infusion of much-needed funds will allow us to do critical work to launch this campaign. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and sharing is encouraged. Thank you for your commitment and support in this effort!

Increased Taxes and Spending Won’t Help New Jersey Grow

Trenton NJ, Governor Murphy’s recent Budget Address painted an optimistic picture of New Jersey’s current financial health and future prospects, declaring victory on goals that included “restoring fiscal responsibility” and “delivering property tax relief” as if the work were already done. While we appreciate the Governor’s commitment to business growth, workforce development, and investments in infrastructure, making New Jersey a competitive regional powerhouse means forging a difficult path ahead — and this budget proposal won’t get us there.

Federal Court Orders Deposition of Hillary Clinton on Emails and Benghazi Attack Records

Washington DC, Judicial Watch today announced that U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth granted Judicial Watch’s request to depose former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about her emails and Benghazi attack documents. The court also ordered the deposition of Clinton’s former Chief of Staff, Cheryl Mills and two other State Department officials.

Additionally, the court granted Judicial Watch’s request to subpoena Google for relevant documents and records associated with Clinton’s emails during her tenure at the State Department.
