Yes Roosters are legal in Fair Lawn, but the natural alarm clock is getting a second look after several residents have come forward to complain to the borough council about being disturbed in their sleep.
Fair Lawn NJ, in what police are calling a “swatting ” incident , on January 5th Fail Lawn Police were summoned to a home off of Route 208 , the same home that had been targeted by “swatters” in September.
Fair Lawn NJ, One (1) individual was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital with a non-life threatening injury following a two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Sixth Street, Fair Lawn, on Thursday afternoon, 01/13. Members of the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad used the “Jaws of Life” to free the crash victim from a heavily damaged 4-door sedan. Fair Lawn FD Company #1, Fair Lawn EMS, and Fair Lawn Police also responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked sedan from the intersection. The other vehicle involved, a Subaru SUV, was driven from the scene on its own power.
Fair Lawn NJ, a Thursday afternoon, 12/30, head-on crash near the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn wrecked two (2) vehicles and injured both vehicles’ drivers. Fair Lawn EMS transported one (1) driver to The Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries; the other driver refused ambulance transport. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Fair Lawn Police handled the accident investigation. Traffic on westbound Fair Lawn Avenue was detoured at Saddle River Road while the victims were attended to and the roadway was cleared of debris.
Fair Lawn NJ, the driver of a black colored 4-door Toyota Camry sedan sustained non-life threatening injuries during a 2-vehicle rollover crash on Heights Avenue, Fair Lawn early Monday morning, 12/27. The Camry struck an unoccupied, parked Toyota mini-van before rolling over on its side. A Fair Lawn EMS ambulance transported the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. The Camry and the minivan were both removed by a flatbed tow truck. Fair Lawn Police also responded to the incident.
FAIR LAWN NJ , Once again this year, Columbia Bank brought the spirit of the holiday season to hundreds of families in need by participating in its annual Toy Drive. The Bank collected new toys, gift cards and money from employees, which were donated to organizations throughout New Jersey in December.

Fair Lawn NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MOHAMMAD RAMADAN (DOB: 5/3/1987; single; tech consultant) of 27 Lexington Avenue, Rochelle Park, NJ on attempted murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful weapons possession charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels.
Fair Lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Police Detective Brian Rypkema investigated a report of a debit card being used by a former home health aide to the victim that had accumulated $8165 in improper charges in 2018. Rosmery Nunezdrodriguez, age 38 of Paterson, responded to police headquarters and was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.
Fair Lawn Police Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Fair Lawn NJ , a late afternoon Halloween Day 2021 crash resulted in moderate damage to a Provident Bank branch at the corner of River Road and Hopper Avenue, Fair Lawn. The vehicle’s adult female driver refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital. Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn Fire Department Company #1, Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue, and Fair Lawn EMS responded to the incident. A hydraulic lift tow truck winched the vehicle away from the structure and removed it from the location. Police at the scene did not indicate what triggered the event.
