Park Ridge firefighters battle two-alarm blaze at former Sony campus

Park Ridge NJ, on March 13, 2021, at approximately 1:45 p.m. the Park Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to 1 Sony Drive, for a reported fire. A passerby called Northwest Bergen Central Dispatch and reported seeing flames and smoke coming from the vacant office building. The Park Ridge Police Department arrived and confirmed that there was a fire in the building and that there were workers on scene preparing the building for demolition.

Park Ridge Suffers Major Water Main Break Sunday Morning

Park Ridgewood NJ,  the borough suffered a major water main break Sunday morning on Mill Road affecting service to the borough’s west side, but was fully restored by the afternoon.

Park Ridge Bans Bird Feeders

Park Ridge NJ, the borough of Park Ridge was considering an Ordinance which bans the feeding of all wildlife on public and private land. The council has now passed the ordinance which we have linked below. The ordinance provides no exception for bird feeders on private property, so as written the ordinance would in effect ban bird feeders within park ridge. This was brought to the attention of the mayor and council, and while the mayor said he would speak with the borough attorney about it further the council passed the ordinance anyway.
