You are misinformed. I did not cut the line at the Winter Fest event and I did not steal a seat from anyone on the hayride. The Ridgewood Walks group had a “back stage” look at Winter Fest. It included a VIP pass on the hay ride, which was offered to us, not requested by us. When I saw that the line was long I made my group wait, right along with the others. The only difference was that we walked around the park instead of standing on line. We had someone hold a place for us. That person let every one else who joined the line know that a party of 8 (not 15 as you mentioned) would be boarding the ride before them.
When I got back to the loading area I spoke to every single person on the line and thanked them for their patience. I wished them a happy holiday and gave them candy canes and other gifts. No one. Not a single person expressed angst. Everyone was cheerful and happy.
It is beyond me how you feel justified to assassinate my character here and on other digital platforms. You saw a mere glimpse of something and made up a negative story about it. If you were truly concerned about the people who were left waiting in line you might have spoken to them yourself. You might have even taken the time to speak to me. Your outrage over something that didn’t happen is confusing.
I appreciate your concern, but the degree in which it was expressed was completely unwarranted. There are lots of people in our beautiful community who work diligently to place a spotlight on all the great things we have to appreciate here. It would be a shame if their desire to do good is snuffed out by untrue accusations and character assassinations. In the future, please make sure your facts are correct before you try to tear people apart. Better yet, look for the good in everyone. I promise you, you’ll find it.

We’ve had enough of dehumanization in America with racism, with women non equality in many ways including pay scale, the #Me Too Movement, with religion and with rich folks stepping on and crushing the poor. I live on Grove Street. Cars and heavy trucks thunder by from 6am to 6.30pm. Speed limit enforcement is sporadic and has no discernable effect. This is a year long problem. What’s this got to with leaf collection? Read on. I try to minimize encroaching into the street with my leaf pile for obvious reasons. Solution: just cut out this sorry excuse of a service and reduce our property taxes by the equivalent cost of a full landscaper service. I have news for you. I have lived here much longer than 35 years. And way back when I was a child we did not like people who butted and bullied their way in front of lines and acted more important than everyone else. This behavior was not tolerated then and it should not be tolerated now and I agree with everyone who has expressed disgust with the self-appointed VIP’s.

NBC News reports the move was adopted after an internet-advocacy group petitioned Starbucks to end the racy practice. Enough is Enough was able to gather more than 26,000 signatures on its petition. After the porn-blocking decision was announced, the popular porn site YouPorn banned all Starbucks products from its offices starting on Jan. 1.

Trenton NJ A new plan to create a drivers license for undocumented immigrants living in New Jersey and other people who can’t produce documentation proving who they are.
The legislation sponsored by Assemblywoman Annette Quijano D-Union, and state Sen. Joe Vitale, D-Middlesex, which calls for allowing New Jerseyans to either get a Real ID driver’s license that will permit individuals to board an airliner or enter a federal building, or what is being termed a “standard” license that would not require the standard “six points” of identifying documents.
Drivers license for undocumented immigrants living in New Jersey and other people who can’t produce documentation proving who they are, what could possible go wrong with that ?

Ridgewood NJ, its planting season and according to Councilman Sedon the Village of Ridgewood is in the process of planting 140 street trees throughout the Village.
The Shade Tree Division is responsible for the maintenance and care of approximately 15, 000 Village owned street trees on 100 miles of public ways, as well as additional trees and shrubs in parks and on other public grounds. This includes all aspects, such as removal, planting, and pruning. The Shade Tree Division does a tree planting for Arbor Day, which is usually the last Friday in April. The division currently offers a memorial tree/bench program to honor the memory of a friend or family member.
