Ridgewood NJ, the Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands and Green Ridgewood hosted the “Daffodil Festival and Earth Day Fair” together on Sunday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The weather held and this fun family event took place in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, located along East Ridgewood Avenue .
The theme this year highlights the recent Master Plan and addresses areas of flood remediation, open space, and park possibilities, green building ideas, local health topics, our drinking water, trees, native plants, and new recycling concepts. It showcases the importance of sustainability and how the community should work together to promote the village becoming more sustainable and conscientious.
Ridgewood Emergency Services celebrated earth day in style and led by example with bike patrols . There were lots of activities, music ,and free plants culminating in the ever popular Daffy Dog Parade .
