Fair Lawn NJ, the Fair Lawn Planning Board approved a proposal Monday to replace the iconic Nabisco factory on Route 208 with a warehouse development. Residents continued to raise concerns over environmental contamination and traffic congestion.
The site developer Greek Development LLC’s proposal to redevelop the former bakery site, which closed in 2021 after more than six decades of churning out Oreo cookies and other snacks.
The huge warehouse project will cover 644,000 square feet which is about the size of Prudential Center in Newark . There will also be another 10,000 square feet of office space including 256 parking spaces and the project does not require the borough to approve any variances.

Rumor has it that UPS will like to expand into Fairlawn, or even Amazon.
Oh well that’s what we hear that UPS would like to move out of Saddlebrook to a brand new location, and yes, is that a good location for them? I would say so convenient. Will it happen well that depends on the price per square foot of the new location. I even for Amazon that would work. We need to just wait and see.
