Ridgefield NJ, at approximately 6:25 PM last evening the Ridgefield Fire Department was dispatched to 392 Shaler Boulevard for a report of fire coming out of the attic vents of a single family home.
Chief Russo (RF-7) arrived on scene and confirmed there was smoke showing from the attic of the home and requested a in borough 2nd alarm bringing in mutual aid responders included firefighters from Cliffside Park, Fairview, Leonia and Palisades Park, as well as Ridgefield borough police and EMS.
Despite frigid temps Ridgefield crews made entry into the attic of the home, found an electrical fire, and proceeded to extinguish it. Crews operated on scene for approximately a hour before returning to service. There were no injuries on scene.
