New Student Enrollment

  • To register for Kindergarten, students must be five years of age on or before October 1st of the current school year.
  • Before starting enrollment process, required documents include:
  • For Current School Year registrations
    • Allow two (2) full school days for the school to review your application.
  • For Next School Year registrations
    • School(s) will provide additional instructions prior to your student(s)’s school start date.
  • School Health Forms
    • The school nurse must receive all forms before your student begins school. See Requirements and forms below.

New and Returning Student Enrollment

If your student has never been enrolled in a Ridgewood Public School or previously attended a Ridgewood Public School and withdrew from the district, complete the New Student Online Enrollment process for your student. 

 

Have a student currently attending Ridgewood Public Schools?

Families with students currently attending Ridgewood Public Schools can login to Skyward Family Access and select New Student Online Enrollment to complete the new student application.

Can’t remember your Family Access credentials? Use the Forgot Your Login/Password? link on the login page.

Proof of Residency Documentation

Prior to starting the New Student Online Enrollment application, please read the Preliminary Residency Information.

Be prepared to upload the following required documents, which proves your permanent and domiciled residence in Ridgewood.

One (1) of the following:

  • Homeowners: Signed Deed of Home, Mortgage Statement, Ridgewood Property Tax Bill.
  • Renters: Lease* – Original signed & CURRENT lease clearly indicating termination date, name of tenants and children.

* If the children’s names are not on the lease, a Notarized Affidavit of Landlord and Proof of Rent Payment are required.
PLEASE NOTE: ‘Current’ means within 30 days of registration.

Two (2) of the following with name and address (at least one through US Mail):

  • Recent PSE&G Bill or Other Utility Bill (e.g. Ridgewood Water)
  • Television or Cell Phone Bill (Optimum, Verizon, Satellite)
  • Current Bank Statement
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License
  • NJ Vehicle Registration
  • Voter Registration Card
  • Other Proof as per N.J.A.C.6A:22-3.4

** Provide any Court order regarding legal guardianship, if applicable. If the person registering the student is not the court ordered legal guardian, you must provide a completed & notarized Oath of Support and Oath of Non-Support, if qualified. If divorced, you must provide proof of residential custody/joint legal custody.

    1. What about how many same “so called related residents” live in either a rental house or owner owned house, take in friends for schooling reasons. Some have 4 – 5 cars and park on lawns? Only here for the schools.

  3. Do they have to register their pronouns when they register, or do they get to have 4 or 5 years of indoctrination before they need to choose their pronouns?
