Ridgewood NJ, So Paul Aronsohn and Roberta Sonenfeld are back in the news. It seems that their GUILTY charge of misusing public funds still stands. Do you remember back in 2016 when Aronsohn was pushing for the MONSTER garage? He and Roberta made a video using public funds to promote a YES vote for their parking garage. The video was billed with an invoice on which Gwenn Hauck’s name appears). The video included Aronsohn imploring everyone to vote for this massive bond because he felt it was desperately needed. Some village officials were interviewed on the video (while working, that is, their salaries were being paid to make this promotional video). And it was posted on the Village website which is paid for by all the taxpayers.
Well, that did not work. A group of concerned citizens collected more than a thousand signatures and forced a binding referendum saying NO to their ridiculously over-bloated dream garage. The garage that is currently under construction is scaled way back from the one that Aronsohn-Pucciarelli-Hauck-Sonenfeld were so desperately seeking.
But the story did not end there for the miscreants. A complaint was filed with the New Jersey Local Finance Board. The Local Finance Board came to a decision in September 2017, and Aronsohn and Sonenfeld were charged with ethics violations for “an attempt to use their official positions as mayor and village manager to secure unwarranted privileges or advantages for themselves or others.”
They decided to appeal, which was their right, and now it has been more than TWO YEARS. They have been through at least two law firms, and have had as many as a dozen conferences with the Office of Administrative Law. None of these are open to the public, and no record is kept. Something sure smells fishy here. Why would this case go on and on and on? Aronsohn was hired by Governor Murphy, so The Blog is wondering if someone in Trenton is holding this up for the benefit of Aronsohn? After all, if the Office of Administrative Law ultimately agrees with the Local Finance Board decision, then this big black mark will be on Aronsohn’s (and Sonenfeld’s) record forever. Of course, this is only one of a multitude of unethical things Aronsohn did during his reign of terror in Ridgewood . . .
It might actually be one of the least unethical things he did. And he got away with a slap on the wrist and a job with our clueless governor.

Look at that picture. Wow. The two of them really thought they ruled the world. Not so much.
It’s amazing that the village of Ridgewood hires individuals with very little experience .
Instead of dragging matters along, those two need to acknowledge wrong doing and accept their punishment. Letting go, a dismissal, is only granted when claims are unfounded.

Do you know what the village of Ridgewood is so dirty. It’s amazing how much bullshit happens there every single day. It doesn’t matter what swept under the carpet anymore because we have people watching everything. Our attorneys are just waiting for the next screwup. They just don’t know how to shut their mouth. They love screwing with people instead of helping them. So we have investigators watching everyone.

I blame Killion. The sitting mayor came in FOURTH and got beat by a political neophyte stay-at-home mom. How out of step was his campaign? Why did he put so much credence in those know-nothings he held court with at breakfast at the Treat?
Sonenfeld and aronsohn are both guilty of unethical misuse of taxpayer dollars and resources. Many violations and abuses. This is just the one they were both caught. Makes me wonder if unethical and illegal if allegations true about Hauck and Aronsohn extramarital affair while both on council. Should charges be filed as conflict of interest on all 3/2 votes? High density housing, healthbarn, funds spent on garage design?
Aronsohn = Once a scumbag, always a scumbag. The master of dirty politics. He did learn something from Bill & Hillary.
Arohnson betrayed Killion at the last minute. That’s part of the reason Killion lost.
And don’t blame him, blame the complacent who did not get out and vote for him.

Don’t get me started on them. Aronsohn did so many questionable unethical things. Like trying to derail Mike Sedon’s original run for office by contacting his employer in Staten Island on a fake conflict-of-interest concern. He actually got the Ridgewood News to pull a letter to the editor that a citizen had written because he did not like the letter (yes, he was in the newspaper office constantly monitoring their articles and incoming letters). He tried to get an employer to fire a local citizen who had crossed paths with Aronsohn. He publicly went after Bernie Walsh (along with Gwenn and Albert) attacking her for ‘fixing” a parking ticket which she absolutely did not do. The three of them, led by Aronsohn of course, went after Tom Richie for a conflict with his company doing work for the Village, which was not a secret, nothing under the table, although they tried to imply that it was. They all went after Susan Knudsen for questioning residency requirements for civilian jobs, by bringing a labor attorney to the council meeting to attack her (this was met with a huge groundswell of anger against the three of them). Then of course you had Aronsohn and Hauck, who were both married, having a love affair while they were serving together. And Aronsohn tried to get the civil service list changed so that Keith Killion’s son would be bounced off. The list goes on and on. He is despicable by any standards. And Roberta? Oh my word. Remember when she wrote a letter to the paper attacking a citizen who had spoken up about Schedler??? What the hell kind of rogue Village Manager starts publicly attacking citizens? And she used to interrupt council deliberations incessantly with her opinions, clearly forgetting that she was not an elected official. Every time there was any kind of swearing-in or proclamation, she would come down from the dais with the elected officials and stand there for her photo ops. And no one can forget how she tried to physically block a citizen from getting signatures in Van Neste, the signatures were for the referendum to stop the garage – yes, there are photos of that incident, where she stepped in claiming she was trying to present the facts. When a citizen was assaulted during a council meeting they carried on like nothing had happened and refused to admonish the person who hit the other person. What a crew they were. Just horrible.

You know what I love about this blog. The mayor and council, the women’s club, and the real rich stuck up assholes cannot control the blog. Their dirty politics cannot overpower the block. In the past they controlled the Ridgewood news , The bergen record, And other small little newspapers. So many things were swept under the carpet. And guess what folks I exactly know what was swept under the carpet. Just remember I know where the skeletons are ,and I know who put them there. Oh yes. Some of you better watch yourselves. I have all the dirt.
Why doesn’t the currant council push for stricter legal action and re- visit all the decisions that the lovers ( Gwen and Paul) voted on the same

Instead you sit there and say to get rid of healthbarn it would cost the village too much money to buy it out of it’s lease and the village is afraid of being sued. The vicious owner did take 2 neighbors of the business to court. Two tax payers who were working with council members to come to a compromise but someone ( Nancy bigios possible) within the parks and rec department gave the owner of the business copies of private e mails or the knowledge of the e mails . Heard that was a joke and a major embarrassment for the “ not so bright” very unprepared owner of healthbarn anyway. But this is the type of tenant that is supported by some town employees and council members that we have in ridgewood
But regardless the council should be looking at how this came to fruition and revisit the whole thing. It doesn’t belong in a park that is supported and runs on tax payers dollars. Move it! Utilize the house for meetings and so forth. It was put there very underhandedly, touted with false pretense of shared profit and being a non profit!

Do you know what people in the past 15 years the politics in the village Ridgewood have been terrible. Way too much dirty bullshit going on. The mayor and council have been running this town into the ground. They control the manager and other top officials that run this town. In the end it comes down to politics. Why because these people are appointed in and they could be fired at any time. What a damn shame to live like that, I’m glad I’m not in a position. And it’s amazing to my fellow taxpayers the bosses that kiss ass they get the best raise so ridiculous. You could know zippo and get big razors, right you know who they were tired. Yes you fat ass.I’m glad Henry moved out of this town.
The best was watching management sucking on their ass. It was amazing the ass kissing that was going on. At times I just wanted to throw up. Some of these people have no back bone or blood in their system, just ice what a bunch of fucking phony baloney‘s. They know who they are. We don’t need to mention their names. In their little brain They think the village couldn’t run without them, jerk off’s it’s running. Now stay away don’t visit nobody wants to see you. Stop being nosy. We know who comes around and sniffing. We don’t want to see you and you don’t want to see us.

I agree with the post that after 3 amigos regime the new VC/s should have gone back and try to undo their worst deeds. I didn’t happen and it is costing us a lot. Unfortunately at the moment or for the near future we are to choose between feel good candidates who try to pose like Warren or Clinton (you know the priorities: environment, lgbt rights, diversity, inclusion) and have no interest in improving a village whatsoever or pick from our pool of mediocre incumbents who just yawn and go through the motions without much energy.
Glory days are way way in the past for RW.
Time to close this sad book ,, for the way forward is never backward..we have thrashed
