Ridgewood NJ, One (1) victim of a Friday afternoon (03/03 ) two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Ackerman Avenue and Bellair Road in Ridgewood was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by a Ridgewood EMS ambulance. The victim is reported to have sustained non-life threatening injuries when a Chevrolet Equinox apparently broadsided a Honda Pilot. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. A crash related fluid spill was attended to by Ridgewood FD personnel. A Glen Rock PD Uniformed Patrol Division supervisor assisted at the scene with language interpretation. There was no word as to whether Ridgewood PD officers issued any summonses in connection with the incident.

  1. If people are too preoccupied to drive safely, they shouldn’t drive. If they feel they can’t obey the speed limit they shouldn’t drive. I have observed that many drivers are not paying full attention when they drive: either talking, texting, just day dreaming by that I mean not watching the road. I know all you rich big shots have lots of important things on your mind, but please, remember you are behind a killing machine, and if you feel you can’t give driving your full attention don’t drive. My wish, my dream wish: that we had a police state, with cops on every street monitoring drivers and everything else. I think that is compatible with democracy. Yes, it would raise taxes, but well worth it.

  2. @7.34am: I was going along with your comment until the “rich big shots” part. I take it from your observations that you possess some kind of net worth calculator and that the only bad drivers you have seen are registering as being rich.

  3. That intersection has a lot of accidents. Maybe someone should look at that.
