Ridgewood Police report a pedestrian hit at the intersection of Oak Street and Franklin Avenue on May 14th

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police reported that on May 14th ,Patrol units responded to the intersection of Oak Street and Franklin Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on May 15th. Upon arrival the pedestrian had a complaint of pain and was being treated by a Valley Hospital Ambulance who was on scene at the time of patrol’s arrival. The driver of the vehicle reported while attempting a left turn onto Oak Street her vehicle collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to the Valley Hospital for treatment and the driver of the vehicle was issued at summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Paramus NJ, No injuries warranting ambulance transport were reported in a two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Century Road, Paramus on Friday morning, 05/18. Separate flatbed tow trucks removed both wrecked vehicles from the roadway. Paramus Police investigated.

Ridgewood Police, Fire Department, and EMS Rush to Save Women Trapped Under a Fallen Tree in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Fire Department, and EMS personnel rushed to aid an adult female who was entrapped under a large fallen tree at the intersection of Heights Road and Woodland Avenue on Saturday morning, 03/03. The women was out walking her dog when the huge tree fell on her.

Heavy rescue equipment and hand tools were used by several Ridgewood firefighters who worked feverishly to free the severely injured woman. Once removed, the victim was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Center’s main campus. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Ridgewood EMTs.

Ridgewood Police investigate Wednesday Afternoon Crash at the intersection of Prospect Street and South Maple Avenue

Ridgewood NJ, A significant crash related fluid spill was attended to by Ridgewood Fire department personnel on Wednesday afternoon, 11/08 at the intersection of Prospect Street and South Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. Two (2) damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. No injuries were reported. Ridgewood Police investigated the crash.

Wednesday morning crash at the intersection of Bellair Road and Lincoln Avenue, Ridgewood injures one

Ridgewood NJ, A two (2) vehicle Wednesday morning, 11/08, crash at the intersection of Bellair Road and Lincoln Avenue, Ridgewood resulted in a non life threatening injury to one (1) of the drivers involved (an adult female). Ridgewood PD, FD, and EMS personnel responded to aid the victim. Both vehicles were removed by separate flatbed tow trucks. The injured person refused transport to a local hospital.

Pedestrian Struck by NJ Transit bus at the intersection of Rock Road and South Maple Avenue in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, An adult female pedestrian sustained a serious but non-life threatening leg injury when she was struck by a NJ Transit bus #164 at the intersection of Rock Road and South Maple Avenue in Glen Rock on Monday evening, 10/09. The victim was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance; she was conscious and alert when police and EMS personnel arrived at the accident site. Glen Rock Police is investigating the incident. Ridgewood Police units provided assistance with traffic control at the scene.

Bicycle rider from Glen Rock sustained a minor injury after colliding with a motor vehicle at the intersection of of Godwin and Lincoln Avenues, in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, A 19-year old female bicycle rider from Glen Rock sustained a minor arm injury after colliding with a motor vehicle at the intersection of of Godwin and Lincoln Avenues, Ridgewood on Sunday afternoon, 08/20. The driver of the passenger car involved fled the scene prior to the arrival of police officers. Ridgewood PD, EMS, and FD personnel responded to aid the victim. Glen Rock PD also assisted in the search for the fleeing driver. Ridgewood PD delivered the seemingly undamaged bicycle back to the victim’s residence in Glen Rock.

Diver Takes Out Utility Pole at the intersection of Linwood and Walthery Avenues in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, The adult male driver of a Toyota SUV was uninjured in a Tuesday afternoon, 08/15, crash during which his vehicle left the roadway, mounted a curb & sidewalk, and slammed into a utility pole and traffic control sign at the intersection of Linwood and Walthery Avenues in Ridgewood. Ridgewood Police, Fire, and EMS units responded to the incident. The wrecked Toyota was removed by a flatbed tow truck. A PSE&G crew was dispatched to replace the snapped utility pole. Police officers at the scene did not indicate whether the driver would be issued any summonses in connection with the mishap. The downed traffic control sign is likely to be replaced by the Village of Ridgewood’s Signal Bureau.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police issued three (3) summonses in connection with a Wednesday morning, 08/02 multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and North Irving Street. Two (2) damaged vehicles were removed from the crash site by a flatbed tow truck. No injuries were reported. Ridgewood Fire Departement personnel attended to a crash related fluid spill.

1930 Ford Model “A” Involved in Collision at the Intersection of East Glen Avenue and East Saddle River Road

Ridgewood NJ, A two (2) vehicle Thursday afternoon, 06/29, collision at the intersection of East Glen Avenue and East Saddle River Road in Ridgewood resulted in a non life threatening elbow injury to one (1) vehicle occupant. Both vehicles involved, a Nissan Rogue and a 1930 Ford Model “A”, were towed from the scene. The injured party was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. Ridgewood Police, Fire, and EMS responded. Fire Department personnel attended to a crash related fluid spill. Ho-Ho-Kus Police assisted with traffic control.

Glen Rock NJ, A two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of Park Avenue and South Maple Avenue in Glen Rock on Saturday afternoon, 06/10, resulted in ambulance rides to The Valley Hospital for both adult female drivers and heavily damaged two (2) black colored sedans. Injuries sustained by the two (2) victims appeared to have been non life threatening Glen Rock PD and EMS responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed both wrecks from the scene.

Crash near the Intersection of West Ridgewood Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard in Paramus Injures driver

Paramus NJ, A two (2) vehicle Thursday morning, 05/25, crash near the intersection of West Ridgewood Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard in Paramus injured the driver of a gold colored mini van, whose vehicle careened off of the rain slick roadway up onto the lawn of a nearby home. Paramus PD patrol officers and a Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Patrol Division K9 officer aided the victim until an ambulance arrived and transported her to The Valley Hospital. The other driver complained of back pain, but refused ambulance transport. Both heavily damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police issued one (1) summons in connection with a two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Grant and Lake Streets, Ridgewood on Thursday afternoon, 04/13, that sent an SUV up onto the lawn of a nearby home. RIdgewood PD, FD, and EMS personnel responded to the scene. One (1) driver sustained a minor hand injury but refused to be transported to a hospital. A flatbed tow truck removed the damaged SUV; a Mercedes sedan involved in the crash was able to be driven away on its own power. Midland Park PD assisted at the scene with traffic control.
