It is inappropriate and off-putting to walk into a library and see and smell food and people eating. We all read and eat at the same time, but not in a library. If the “cafe” were in a separate wing, it would be different. I love seeing people with tutors and so on but the food is just wrong. I am probably in the minority but I know I’m not alone–a number of people have said they agree with me.
Your not in the minority…AT ALL. You go to the library TO STUDY and absorbe the quietness and smell the books…it’s good for the soul. Now I must listen to junior slosh through his double latte and Down a bag of chips??
