Ridgewood NJ, the morning down pours last only till non at the latest , yet Graydon pool remained closed on what became a beautiful 90 degree summer Saturday in Ridgewood .
Was there a flood?
This place is being run by a bunch of irresponsible overpaid people.
I passed by at 1p.m the parking lot was dry, the pool water was not flooded over the sand nor over the field stone. I wanted to go for a swim; I called the pool manager’s office , no answer.
I wrote to the council asking why closed.
I heard that Crest Wood pool in Allendale, also sand bottomed, had a delayed opening and was opened at 1 p.m yesterday.
I would like to know the reason why Graydon remained closed.
There are summer storms. But after the storm the sun comes out and I want to go for a swim.
The summer is short because Graydon closes after Labor Day., not when summer is over on Sept. 22.
The council has millions of dollars to destroy the charm and beauty of the downtown with ugly useless parking garage, that will end up adding to congestion. Millions of dollars to take away the greenery at the train station that provides safety and attractiveness. Millions of dollars to destroy the trees at Schedler, even after Dr. Infantano , a cardiologist said it is important to have nature trails for health of residents. Imagine that ignoring a doctors advice when he is not advocating a drug. HOW LOW CAN THE COUNCIL GO. I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t getting some kind of kick back for Schedler development.
But you know what , the council cannot afford to pay lifeguards on weekends to keep Graydon open until fall
. I’ll bet if they offered real money to lifeguards those at local colleges would train and come on weekends. But no, nature and healthy activities are not promoted in this town. They are tolerated but not promoted.
Free unsupervised play at the pool makes for a self-directed non repressed child who will not grow up addicted to opioids, because he gets a high from jumping off a high diving board or doing cartwheels on the sand or swimming freely and that kind of high is his reference point for his life. so when he, as an adult, is given an opioid for pain , he takes one and when pain is gone he throws bottle of pills away and goes back to his fun unsupervised free play activity, his high from nature. The child has a positive addiction. a healthy high.
Who is that child . That child is me now an adult. I was given an opioid for back spasm years ago. I took one. got over the pain. Went back to swimming at Graydon and learned through exercises from a book how to prevent back pain. Not opioids.
Let’s we who love Graydon,,let us tell the council to keep it open when the sun comes out after a storm and to keep it open weekends until fall. Let them spend fifty thousand dollars paying lifeguards.(If they need to spend that much) That kind of money is a mere pittance for the council to throw around. Let them use our tax dollar on something useful for a change.
Why ? What happened.
Poor management decision. A delayed opening would have worked in this case.
Wow wow people are talking people are pissed. This is why so many of us are moving out of this shit hole of a town. Overrated so much it’s true. I see it. We all see you. What you doing to this village.More going on than being sad.
Can you say la crème brûlée
someone pissed in it
This was a stupid decision that cost pool members one of eight weekend days in August. Really pissed off aboout this.
I’m glad I went down the shore. It was beautiful. Not a lot of traffic, the food was great.
Grayson is a dump. I find it hard to believe that this town cannot update the bathrooms. Disgusting.
The hole place is a shithole.
I’m going to Bergen County Board of Health on the villager Ridgewood because the bathrooms are filthy. Clean the bathrooms up already. My God,
