According to Paramus Police, the Route 17 Ski Barn heists came to an abrupt end around noon on Wednesday when the arrests were made of T’Kai Smokes-Davis, 19, Nephihah Hamilton, 20, and Andrew Estrada, 18.
A Ski Barn employee called police to report shoplifters he connected to a “hit and run” theft on November 16th, that saw the trio make off with $12,000 worth of Moose Knuckles and Canada Goose coats.
One Paramus officer arrived just in time to catch Smokes-Davis assaulting a Ski Barn employee and arrested him on the spot. Hamilton ran up Route 17 to East Glen Avenue where police caught up with the Newark man and arrested him.
The third suspect Andrew Estrada, of Flanders, fled south on the highway into the Paramus Design Center and was caught near the Panera Bread..
Smokes-Davies is facing charges of robbery, shoplifting and criminal possession of brass knuckles, and Hamilton and Estrada have been charged with conspiracy to shoplift and resisting by flight, among other charges.
