Ho-Ho-Kus Swears in Two New Police officers

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, Ho-Ho-Kus’ newest police officers, Samuel K. Kim and John Kleinert, were sworn in at the Mayor and Council meeting by Mayor Thomas Randall on Tuesday evening, May 18, 2021.
Samuel Kim joins us with nine years’ experience with the New York Amtrak Police Department, and more recently, the Palisades Park Police Department. His key accomplishments include two Life Saving awards, Resiliency Officer (RPO), LEAD Instructor, Social Media, TAC Assistant and Officer of the Month several times. Sam has been a volunteer firefighter in Northvale for the past 15 years. Kim earned a degree in Criminal Justice having attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Columbia Southern University.

John Kleinert comes to us from the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute Alternate Route Program. John stood out among the candidates scoring the highest on the entrance exam and distinguished himself in many ways with the Command Staff. Kleinert comes to the Borough after having a career in the financial services industry, more recently as a Trader. He is a Certified EMT with the Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps and volunteers with Meals on Wheels America. Kleinert holds a BA in Economics from Williams College.
We wish both Officers a successful career with the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department.
