Little Ferry NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JUAN CARLOS NUNEZ-PEREZ (DOB: 10/06/1994; single; masonry employee) of 2460 Daws Drive, Bozeman, Montana for possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on a vehicle owned and operated by JUAN CARLOS NUNEZ-PEREZ. JUAN CARLOS NUNEZ-PEREZ was being investigated for narcotics trafficking and distribution. A search of the vehicle yielded 60 kilograms (approximately 132 pounds) of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $3 million.
JUAN CARLOS NUNEZ-PEREZ was arrested without incident and charged with one count of first-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1). NUNEZ-PEREZ was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank Homeland Security Investigations – Newark, the Little Ferry Police Department, and the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team for their assistance in this investigation.
