Secaucus NJ, at least 13 buses have transported illegal immigrants to New Jersey, where they subsequently board buses and trains bound for New York City.

Originating from Texas and Louisiana, these buses have reached various train stations in Secaucus, Fanwood, Edison, and Trenton.

This strategy appears to circumvent NY Mayor Eric Adams’ recent executive order that restricts the times at which buses can arrive at the Port Authority Bus Station.

Approximately 450 migrants have been recently delivered through this method.

Mayor Michael Gonnelli of Secaucus suggests that the stringent boundaries set by New York City may inadvertently be causing unintended consequences.

Mayor Sam Joshi of Edison has declared his intention to take measures preventing the migrants from entering Edison. He has directed law enforcement to charter a bus to transport them back to the US-Mexico border.

“As the mayor of Edison, the solution for me is not to pawn it off to another mayor,” Joshi stated.

Governor Phil Murphy released a statement emphasizing that New Jersey is primarily serving as a transit point for these families, with most, if not all, continuing their journey to their final destination in New York City. Coordination with federal and local partners, including those across the Hudson, is underway.

NY Mayor Adams encourages other cities and counties to consider passing similar executive orders.

  1. Not sure how Adams can interfere with interstate commerce.

  2. I know where they can ask for a free meal near the bus station……………………

Will they have to climb over a wall?

  3. We seriously need to address the problem directly at the border with Mexico. It’s both a U.S. and Mexico problem. In the meantime, shame on the public officials in Texas, Florida, etc using the illegals as pawns and just dumping them into northern cities. I understand their plight and frustration but just dumping people is deplorable. And while we’re at it, let’s just do away with the “sanctuary city” nonsense. We should not be allowing illegals sanctuary , period. Why should our tax dollars have to pay for their care?

  5. I can’t wait for the day some of these buses stops right in the middle of RW and drops these illegals. It will be beyond funny. That day is coming. There’s a reason why there is so much development everywhere. Get ready to share the load my fellow libt@rds. Time to show your affection.

  6. I know this will meet with many objections but my question is:”Why should we expect the border states to be solely responsible for supporting the illegals?” I think the transporting of them to other states is a great idea. “Why shouldn’t the border states share the burden?” Maybe, if enough states are forced to be involved, our government might actually ave to do something!

  7. I think this issue is finally having an impact on Democratic states as people are seeing that 10 million illegal immigrants (in addition to Legal immigrants) is too many for our cities to absorb in such a short period of time. 65% of Latino voters think the Beden administration needs to do more to control illegal immigration. This is going to have an impact. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/immigration-latino-voters-biden-2024-poll/

  9. Why should our tax dollars have to pay to support illegals, they should become US citizens and pay their way themselves!
