Hackensack NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of ANGEL SARIOL (DOB: 3/30/1972; single; and employed as a custodian) of 22-24 Ward Street, Apartment 2H, Hackensack, NJ, on charges of Terroristic Threats and False Public Alarm. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and members of the Rochelle Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Flannelly.

From Monday, March 19, 2018, through Wednesday, March 21, 2018, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit received information from no fewer than 19 municipal police departments in Bergen County about a substantially similar series of phone calls that they received during that three-day period from an anonymous caller. During many of these calls, the unknown caller stated that police officers from those towns would be murdered. The ensuing investigation, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit and Rochelle Park Police Department, revealed that Angel SARIOL used technology to disguise his calling line identity and placed the phone calls.

As a result of the investigation, Angel SARIOL was arrested in Hackensack on Thursday, March 22, 2018 and charged with one count of False Public Alarm, N.J.S.A. 2C:33-3B, a 2nd degree crime; one count of Terroristic Threats During a State of Emergency, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-3A, a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Terroristic Threats, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-3A, a 3rd degree crime. Angel SARIOL was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court on March 23, 2018.

the Staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of JAMES R. COWAN (DOB: 3/19/1944; widower; and formerly employed as a medical doctor) of 572 West Saddle River Road, Ridgewood, New Jersey for charges related to the distribution of controlled dangerous substances. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, the Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael J. CONNER, the Ridgewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Jacqueline LUTHCKE, and the State of New Jersey Department of Law & Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs & State Board of Medical Examiners under the direction of Attorney General Christopher S. PORRINO.

During the month of February 2016, law enforcement personnel initiated an investigation into the medical practice of Dr. James R. COWAN, a licensed Medical Doctor specializing in Psychiatry, located in his home office at 572 West Saddle River Road, Ridgewood, New Jersey.

During this investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, in an undercover capacity, visited the office of Dr. COWAN, posing as new patients. During these office visits, the undercover officers received prescriptions for medications from Dr. COWAN in exchange for cash payments. The undercover detectives were not physically evaluated by Dr. COWAN or anyone else at his office, but instead were issued prescriptions for Xanax and Adderall.

During the month of March 2016, Dr. COWAN became medically ill, and was hospitalized for several months. While he was in the hospital, the investigation revealed that another individual, who was not licensed to prescribe medicine, continued to see patients and issue prescriptions to patients on New Jersey prescription blanks that were pre-signed by Dr. COWAN.

During the month of April 2016, while Dr. COWAN was hospitalized, a court-authorized search warrant was executed at the residence / office of Dr. James COWAN. During the execution of the search warrant, items including New Jersey prescription blanks, patient files, computers, and Controlled Dangerous Substances were located and seized, and office personnel were found to be in possession of numerous files for patients that were scheduled to come to the office throughout the week. It was learned that Dr. COWAN reviewed these patient files from a rehabilitation facility where he was located at the time. He then caused prescriptions to be issued to patients he did not examine for, among other things, Tylenol w/ Codeine, Adderall, Xanax, and Subutex to these patients. Additionally, while present in the rehabilitation facility, Dr. COWAN pre-signed numerous New Jersey prescription blanks.

During the month of May 2016, the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety Division of Consumer Affairs & State Board of Medical Examiners suspended the medical license and Controlled Dangerous Substances registration for Dr. James R. COWAN.

On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Dr. James COWAN turned himself over to members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. He was charged with one count of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Xanax, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(13), a third degree crime; one count of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Adderall, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(13), a third degree crime; one count of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Prescription Legend Drug, namely Azithromycin, in an Amount of at Least Five (5) but Fewer than One Hundred (100) Dosage Units, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10.5(3), a third degree crime; one count of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Tylenol w/ Codeine, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(13), a third degree crime; six counts of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Xanax, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(13), a third degree crime; six counts of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Adderall, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(13), a third degree crime; one count of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Subutex, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(13), a third degree crime; and one count of Knowingly or Purposely Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Oxycodone, in an Aggregate Weight Exceeding One Ounce, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(4), a second degree crime.

After arrest processing, James COWAN was released pending a first appearance court date at Central Judicial Processing.

Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Dumont Police Department, the Ridgewood Police Department, and the Division of Consumer Affairs & State Board of Medical Examiners for their assistance in this investigation.

A man accused of fatally stabbing a woman in Troy, N.Y., Monday morning was arrested several hours later following a chase on the Palisades Interstate Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said.

David Campos, 45, allegedly killed Denise Gely, 44, with whom he once had a romantic relationship, around 5:45 a.m., Troy Police Capt. Daniel DeWolf said.

The couple had a history of “domestic issues,” DeWolf said, but Campos had never been arrested in Troy previously. At one time they lived together in Troy, but they were not at the time of her death, he said.

One of the couple’s three children called police to report the alleged attack, DeWolf said. Two were home at the time.

Troy is about 150 miles north of New York City along the Hudson River and authorities sent police departments a description of his vehicle, a black Chrysler 200, and his license plate.

Officers on the New York side of the Palisades Interstate Parkway discovered the car and a chase ensued into New Jersey around 9:40 a.m.

Officer Donald Liu, a Palisades Interstate Parkway cop in New Jersey, joined the pursuit at Interchange 5, Chief Michael Coppola said in a statement. Coppola, Detective Lt. Roman Galloza, Lt. Jesse Cohen and Officers Travis Philhower and Timothy Conboy jumped in as the chase continued south on the parkway.

THE RECORD

The mysterious woman who is suspected of hiding her identity under a bright red wig to hold up the Glen Rock Savings Bank last month was arrested in Atlantic City by the FBI on Thursday, authorities told The Record.

No details of the arrest were provided, and the name of the woman was not revealed, but law enforcement sources confirmed that her crime wave – which also allegedly took her to the scene of a holdup at the Greenwich Bank & Trust Co. in Greenwich, Conn., on Jan. 30 – was at an end.

“Yeah, they got her,” said one law enforcement source who asked not to be identified because the chief investigative agency in the case was the FBI and not local police departments. “It’s a good pinch,” the source said.

The woman got away with more than $100,000 in the Glen Rock holdup after brandishing a large, long-barreled handgun that authorities later said was a paintball gun.

In the earlier stick-up in Greenwich, authorities said security video showed that the woman did not wear a wig at that time, but appeared have dark hair cut in a short style, and appeared to use the same gun. The amount that she took in Greenwich has never been revealed, but was believed to be far less than the haul in Glen Rock, a source said.

Glen Rock police had described the robber as about 5-foot-7, of medium build and wearing a black coat and white boots. As she ran out of the bank, the woman dropped the weapon nearby.

In Greenwich, police said the robber had the same build and had worn a dark coat and light-colored boots.

The Filthy Four! Democrats Who Have Been Arrested Or Raided By The FBI This Week!

Four Democrats have taken the “culture of corruption” and made it into a full-blown political movement this week by committing acts that made the FBI either arrest them or raid their offices and homes. Murder-for-hire, gun trafficking, corruption, illegal Chinese cigarettes, stealing money from the taxpayer, and chiropractic bribery – these are the favored crimes of the “Filthy Four” Democrats!

1) New York Assemblyman William Scarborough’s office raided over possible travel expense fraud

DEMOCRAT William Scarborough had his home and offices raided by the FBI in an attempt to investigate the claim that he had fudged his travel expenses and cheated the taxpayer out of thousands of dollars. So far this year he’s put in for $10,350 in total expenses, while last year he claimed $28,438 in reimbursements, and $33,986 in 2012!
