Teaneck NJ, a rash of overnight car burglaries in Teaneck and nearby towns has landed three teens, one only 15 in handcuffs. According to acting Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr, the teens range from ages 19, 16 and 15 were arrested Thursday after police stopped a suspicious vehicle and found one the boys with a 9mm handgun.

Upper Saddle River NJ, during the past 36 hours, the Upper Saddle River Police Department has investigated three car burglaries and one stolen motor vehicle. We again would like to reiterate the importance of locking your cars and removing the key fobs.
Most importantly, a significant change in pattern occurred with the stolen vehicle incident. The crime was committed during the AFTERNOON HOURS. This is a major shift from previous incidents that all occurred during the overnight or early morning time frames. The perpetrators brazenly walked across a neighbor’s lawn, and drove off with the victim’s motor vehicle in broad daylight! Please be alert. Please be observant. Please report any suspicious activity to the Upper Saddle River Police Department. Do not confront these individuals! At the end of the day, it is just a car and not worth the risk of your personal safety.
Glen Rock NJ, CAR BURGLARIES: Friday night Fair Lawn Police arrested a male on a bicycle with proceeds from car burglaries. Items in his possession were determined to come from a victim in Glen Rock. We are asking residents to check their video doorbells, camera system, etc for any footage from last night that would assist us in this investigation. Fair Lawn Police Department still have many unidentified items including a lot of clothing. Any residents who have been victims are asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department to file a report.
Ridgewood NJ, According to the Ridgewood Police ,On Saturday, April 23, patrol responded to the Ridgewood Duck Pond to assist the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department. The victim reported that the window was smashed on her vehicle while it was parked at around 3:30pm. A purse was removed from the vehicle. On Sunday, April 24, a resident reported that his vehicle was parked in the YMCA parking lot between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. When he returned to his vehicle he discovered his window was smashed and three briefcases were missing. While Officers were taking the report, a second resident reported her vehicle’s window was smashed at the same location and her purse was missing. Typically thieves target locations such as Gyms and Parks where the victim is most likely to leave their valuables in the car while exercising. To minimize your risk, try not to leave anything of value visible to thieves; store them out of view or lock them in your trunk
